I have only been on SOL since the middle of 2009 so, correct me if I am wrong, but I think WINSTON_4 might be the first SYC Member to lead the SYC Ranking with a perfect score... i.e., max top marks in the current top races that are used to calculate rank.

Obviously, the Iceland TIMED Race is still running so this perfect score may not last very long, but for now I think it really is an excellent result and deserving of publicity!!

Yes truly an awesomely consistent performer!

I can say from experience now - many probably do not appreciate quite how difficult it is to win a race on SOL (especially when WIN is racing ;-) )

So to have 33% win rate over 30 races is simply phenomenal!

What do they put in your coffee over there in Italy?

This is really an amazing achievement.
Winning races here is so difficult, every race is different and the competition is outstanding.
Winston, my sincere congratulations!

I only hope you will not get bored and stick around for a while so we all can learn a thing or two about sailing tactics.

Thanks . I perfectly remember you did 11 at one stage. I can say for sure that I never aimed to beat your record..It just happened by itself.

Amazing performance over the last year. Congratulations. I'll be over the moon if I ever win one.

I've been looking at all the results for the races recently. Excluding the timed races, WIN has won by far the most at 36. Then brainaid (24), ita10267 (17), 76trombones (12) and jepsom (11). They are the only SOLers who have more than 10 wins. 55 have won a race. 30 have won more than one.

No I did not intend to say you should take a break...!!

It adds quite another level to the race to try and win when your are in it!
The 2 races I have finished ahead of you (and also Turkey where I finish just behind) have probably been the most rewarding races I've done on SOL! (especially the one both you and ita were behind me ;-) )

Welcome indeed to our first race of six “Red Eye Specials” - short overnighters through tricky high resolution winds, that will likely have you setting an alarm or two to not miss a weather update or tight rounding or three. This first one is a 105nm IRL classic out into New Zealand’s Cook Strait usually raced around the same time as our online race will start, raced only once before on SOL in 2012, and which on this occasion we will take on in our J-130!

Welcome to our 2025 Ocean Race Championships starting off with the classic 6900nm drag race from Cape Horn back to the coast of Brittany leading or following the boats of the Vendee Globe fleet. A new polar from the board of the BNH Design Partnership is being made available to you for this one, in the hope that aboard her you too will be able to cover 600nm in a day when the conditions are right! SOL's gift to the memory of AGagewas a yearlong series of races circumnavigating Australia. This 100 nm race takes place in the St. Vincent Gulf off Adelaide to mark 12 years since the too-sudden end to the life of this remarkable SOLer. These were Aaron's home waters - he was a total competitor so... race to win! Please take the time to read the many tributes left in his memory.
