You weren't setting DCs, you were filtering a waypoint file (matches the stack trace line number and the FWP command). I suspect a filter tolerance dialog popped up and you entered something wrong in it, or it was hidden under other windows which caused the lock. One thing I notice is your path names have spaces in them. Probably not a good idea and I do not check for them. Hence why I think is saying the waypoint file is blank.
Hey Kipper - B1 here - back from 6 months on a desert island :)

Having trouble with the new(?) DC table button. Won't open the standard CSV file from QT - keeps reopening the file selector window. (Worse - I've lost my bookmark to the webbased file converter I used to use :( !) Hope you can help!

Ed

UPDATE: Kipper, check the screen shot attached. For some reason the file picker is showing files that don't exist - note the file dates - some from two years ago!!! Further, the same error occurs in each of the other File picker windows. Non-existent files dated in 2022.

Rember that AGL remembers folders that you have set previously. That Race 1 folder exists and you are pointing to it. To find out where you are, and point to the correct folder, click on the down arrow next the Race 1 and then navigate to where you should be.

With the DC read, AGL will initially ask you for a file to open. If that file does not contain any DCs later than now (in other words, there are no valid DCs to set), it assumes you have selected the wrong file and asks for another.
There is a problem with AGL 14.6.0 in that it will hang on first creation of the map if no level 3 polygons exist in the race area of interest. A fix has been released, see https://www.sailonline.org/board/thread/16719/agl14-releases/?page=11#post-18141
Hi Kipper
Running 6.1 and have an anomaly between QT, SOL client and AGL on route. See pics below

...and I don't know what is the red route in AGL? I may have missed it in the manual???!!

That's the additional course waypoint created when you load the DCs from qt through the DC Data Table. Have a read through that section.

I suspect your first DC was earlier than now when you checked it, and has been removed. Or there is a bug with DC's before the race has started, and the boat is not moving.
This thread has now closed. AGL 23 is the new version with a matching issues thread.

Red Eye - Myth of Malham 2025

In 1947, Hugh McLean & Sons of Gourock, Scotland built a radical racing yacht for John Illingworth, soon-to-be Commodore of the RORC, to a design by Laurent Giles. With a masthead rig, giving her ‘free’ sail area per the rules of the time, and short overhangs reducing pitching, Myth of Malham went on to win The Fastnet that year and again in 1949, and to compete in numerous Admiral's Cups. In 1958, in honour of the yacht, the Myth of Malham race was conceived - a mini-Fastnet to the first lighthouse on a rock west of Cowes, Eddystone, rather than the second, to be held in non-Fastnet years. IRL this year it has been raced already, but this stops us not from “Red Eye” racing its online 230nm in Fareast 31Rs, leaving how to deal with the Isle of Wight open to your own discretion.

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
