Page: Previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 Next

Hi Kipper,
Thanks so much for the new version! I'm on 14_2_2. My gribs don't seem to be auto updating however *possibly* due to my "Next Expected Grib Time" being 1970/01/01 10:00:00. I have a feeling that it's perhaps due to my computer going to sleep but I figure you'll have a much better idea! Any thoughts? Cheers, Greg
I won't go into the details, but try restarting AGL and using the New button to force it to reload all the race data.
Yep, that's what I've been doing at every update! :) Cheers.
Actually that doesn't seem to be working but a shutdown and restart will do it every time!

Let me know if you need a hand debugging. I have a Comp Sci degree from a loooong time ago (hence 1970/01/01 00:00:00 being very familiar! :) ) so I may possibly be of use.

.

Can you check and see if the tag Description is in the race_info xml. I used to strip that out in previous versions due to xml parsing issues. I now use it for getting the Wx time, and then remove it in memory before parsing. If there is no Description tag, you are going to get a null date.
Also, please post any exceptions that appear in the cmd window

Will keep an eye on it but I'm happy to report that my "next grib expected time" has gone from the Unix epoch to something considerably more sensible and we're back to automatically downloading gribs!

I'll let you know what I see.
Hi kipper,

I'm facing an issue since version 14.2.1. And just upgrade to version .6 but the issue remains.
The DC time change some minutes when I send from AGL to SOL server. See images below.
Any tip on what is happened?

**SOLVED**
It was my notebook clock time that was not sincronized.

Hi Kipper,
Any idea why I get this error for NOAA file? I have seen this for a while when I have NOAA checked and set for 16 days.

Hi, Kipper! AGL is a wonderful tool for us all so thanks for developing and sharing it!

I've been trying to help Nicola (@Mediterranean) to setup AGL 14 on MacOS Big Sur. In the past, I've been able to run it on my old High Sierra MacBook but never tried on new Macs.

After loading the main window and downloading the DCs from the server, I open the graphical path window and it shows the route but not the toolbar (Image 1). If I close the graphical path window, any other attempt to open it will show the toolbar but not the map (Image 2). No error message is shown in the console.

Any clue about how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

[UPDATE: The same behavior happens on MacOS Catalina.]

The Beagle in Mauritius 2024

And west, forever following the sun, the Beagle went once more to next explore Australia, but since online we already regularly race the length and breadth of that wee dinkum continent’s coasts, we will delay launching our Tall Ship Class B until the Beagle reaches Mauritius, which she did on 29 April 1836. Darwin explored the island and its coral reefs extensively. We’ll better that by sailing some 450nm to Reunion and back, for a better appreciation of this remote archipelago, inhabited mostly by descendants of French and English colonists and Indian convicts and political prisoners.
