A new version of AGL is here called AGL14_6_1_update.zip.This fixes the map loading problem with 14.6.0. Note that this is an update and is to be installed according to the update instructions in the manual.
Kipper, I am not the most computer literate 84 yr old! Originally I had assistance loading AGL from our much missed late SOLer Bimmer. I confess that I have not been confident enough to keep up to date with the patches and I am still using AGL Version 14/2/9 on Windows 10. I would like to get up to date. I have User Manual 14.2.3. which describes the first installation and then updates. Rather than downloading the multiple patches I have missed what would be the steps to replacing my version with the latest version and then keeping up to date with the patches?
I hope that this request does not exasperate you too much! TX for any kind assistance you may render. TX for creating this super program. jgambles@rogers.com.
Kipper, I have downloaded the 14.6.0 AGL Manual. What I am worried about is corrupting the existing files that allow me to continue using Version 14.2.9 if I follow the First Time instructions in order to Update to the latest version. I am assuming that there is some modification required in the First Time instructions when you are already using AGL. TX again.

Skipping so many updates does mean you really need to do a new install. But you can overwrite the old install, if you don't want to make a new location.

This is what I suggest you do.
1.Create a new folder for the new version.
2. Download the AGL14_5_9_full.zip and unzip it into your new location.
2. Download AGL14_6_1_update.zip and unzip that into the new location.
3. Edit the environment variables (or batch files and run them) to point to the new location and version.
4. You should be able to run AG_pause.bat to make sure it is working and you've set the locations correctly.

If you are not happy, you can simply point back to the old version and old location.

Rommel by Balloon 2026 - Through the Sahara

Generalfeldmarschall Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel may have been that chivalrous, gallant tank commander of legend, led astray by the Prussian military traditions of loyalty and chain of command, but one thing he wasn’t, was mad. So, let’s do it anyway – not stick to the coast and the battle for logistical superiority – but depart the oases of Siwa south west into the desert for Agadez and its uranium. And let’s go by balloon, it’s only 2500km (1250nm)!
