Hi All,

Where will I find a user manual on how use all the settings on AGL14.

I have set up to work, but now need to know what I can do with it.

Man thanks,
BRENTGRAY
I've put up a new version which is available here called AGL_14_3_1_update.zip and is an update as per the install instructions in the manual. This version highlights any BBQs found when using the waypoint or DC checkers.

Enjoy.

Hi Kipper ! I love already your great AGL14_3_6 and would like to know now more on the.map formats of the files you use (down loaded the packages Tiles and Maps ). With which software can we open them on our PC ? Is decrypting script confidential ? Thanks in advance for your answer ! Alban

The maps are binary Java versions which I have created to speed up processing. The tiles are the original xml files downloaded from the server, the same ones the client uses. I have cleaned them up to remove duplicate points and overlaps. These are the same maps that qtVlm uses (gshhs shapes). The client or qt are your best viewers.
Hey Kipper ! Just for information got a 2nd mail from "Maitai" the QTVLM manager who is sorry to reconfirm theses files .map cannot be read by QT. Regards ALP317

qt can't read them. They come from the same source being gshhs, so the outlines are same with a few exceptions in Antartica (ice sheets vs land)

New version here called AGL14_3_11_update.zip and must be installed as an update. Fixes the HTTP 400 error preventing AGL from working.

Hey Kipper ! Is Upgrade from previous version mandatory ? I am still using the 14.3.6 . When upgrading 14.3.6 to 14.3.8 I got the following message " setx is not recognized as and internal command or .......

Thanks .

I would prefer everyone update to this version. Older versions can cause server problems. With the setx problem, have you tried running AG14Version.bat as an administrator (Use the "Run as Administrator" option in the right click dropdown)? You may not have set up your account with admin privileges.

Rommel by Balloon 2026 - Through the Sahara

Generalfeldmarschall Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel may have been that chivalrous, gallant tank commander of legend, led astray by the Prussian military traditions of loyalty and chain of command, but one thing he wasn’t, was mad. So, let’s do it anyway – not stick to the coast and the battle for logistical superiority – but depart the oases of Siwa south west into the desert for Agadez and its uranium. And let’s go by balloon, it’s only 2500km (1250nm)!

The third race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us southeastward now down the Pacific, from Guam’s Apra Harbour at 13.5 degrees North, back across the Equator to the glorious New Caledonian resort island of Ouvéa, on the edge of the Tropic of Capricorn at 20.5 degrees South. It’s 2400nm, and there’s more than a few other islands in the way, so mind where you go in your Ocean 50s. Race #1981
