In general routing software generates an astronomical number of Displacement vectors (module unit is nm) where on top of their extremities it draws the so called Isochrones curves.

To have a slight idea on the numbers involved on this calculations and using the qT process/settings we have:

1 - 180 degrees of scanning angle;
2 - 3 degrees of angular step;
3 - 60 Displacement vectors in the first calculated minute;
4 - 60 + 60 x 60 = 3.660 Displacement vectors on the second calculated minute;
5 - 60 + 3.600 + 60 x 60 x 60 = 219.660 Displacement vectors on the third calculated minute and,
6 - so on, resumed in the following formula:

S (60 ^m),

where:

"S" represents Summation starting in i = 1, 2, 3, ...., m;
"m" is minutes (integer number),
“^” is the power symbol.

As a sado-maso exercise try to use (only) the WX tool just to find out the best route for the first two minutes of race.

P.S.: You stil have time to make it for the next race in 2,5 days. Uppps.... maybe not because by then the the WF will be other.

I'll be sailing SOTP for this series, and will abide by those rules.
i'M always SOTP and no buddy sailor either.
SOTP for me please I dont have never and never will use a router hence I never do very well but its the taking part. Maybe it should be considered mandatory to take part ?? hard to impose I know but levels the playing field a bit Fair winds all the SOTP's

New to this site, but not to sailing
USSACP
Cruzist will, as always. be sotp
SOTP---as usual! Rod
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
I will race SOTP!!

Christmas to Christmas Island 2025

Two waypoints, start and finish, and between them 5827 NM of two oceans. Not much time if we want to sit at the Christmas Eve table. You will need to maintain an average speed of over 10 knots, maybe quite possible with this Maxi Trimaran, but prepare your vessel well and choose the best of the many possible routes. Hands up everyone who knew there were TWO Christmas Islands?! OK, maybe you have sailed this Sailonline course before... but it's time to get ready for the 2025 challenge of racing between Christmas Island in the Pacific to Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean! It also marks the conclusion of our prestigious Ocean Race Championship 2025. Please have fun! Fair winds!

Andaman Islands PYOC 2025

The Andaman Islands are an archipelago, made up of 200 islands, in the northeastern Indian Ocean. Together with the Nicobar Islands to their south, the Andamans serve as a maritime boundary between the Bay of Bengal to the west and the Andaman Sea to the east. These waters will be the theater of our next 240nm race in the ARCH 2025 series. Which one you choose depends only on you, i.e. your Elan 410 sport will leave the Andaman Islands on the starboard or port side.

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
