    Thank you Andrew.
14_1_0_1.jar now downloaded and working well. I will look into getting a new graphics card. I will just have to be careful with PL.

    Still no joy Andrew.
I downloaded 14.2.1 Version (without maps).
    Carefully carried out install instructions.
It loads but with same Pointer exceptions.
As well as greyed out "Current Boat Date" tab, the Mayday respondents and AIS contacts are also greyed out.
It may be due to my PC not being able to use Open GL.
Is it possible to provide a link to the previous version files? That worked with Use "Open GL Engine" not selected.
    Regards
    Dave

I have no Current Boat data tab. Unable to add AIS Boat List. No display of DCs with PL loss.
Unable to set DCs, therefore unable to refresh DCs in game.

There’s no range limit. As long as it it to port. When Cape Breton bears 291deg it is rounded. For Killiniq it is 227deg.

    Thanks Kipper,
I have now downloaded both maps and tiles but still no luck. The map started to go in the Cape town to Auckland race on the last day. I had the North part of New Zealand but not the finish area. Now its nothing.
My graphics card is a bit old and according to Intel, does not even support W10 let alone OpenGL.
I may have to resort to previous version of AGL and see what happens.

    Hi Kipper,
I have downloaded AGL 14 as per the instructions.
When I run AGL and select Converts DC's into a graphical path, there is no map. All maps unzipped and in the correct folder.
I have deselected OpenGL as my PC comes up with the message: ERROR : OpenGL is not supported on this computer. But still no map.
    Any suggestions?
    Dave

    Well done John,
I have reverted to 5.9-7 as well and now get full TWS.
It was the same on the IOS version as well.
I thought I was going mad with searching strange NMEA settings!
  • Re: DC Checker Releases
    Board » Technical Discussion
    Thanks Kipper.
I get agreement in client, AGL, and raw nmea data in QT. It’s just the boats instruments that have integer TWS only. I think it’s therefore a QT problem or I have an incorrect setting somewhere. I will try a new load and see if I get the same then.
  • Re: DC Checker Releases
    Board » Technical Discussion
    New question.
QtVlm is only showing the integer of the TWS on boat instruments. i.e. If the TWS is 4.8 then display is 4.0. If TWS is 5.1 instrument is 5.0.
This does not seem to affect routing except it will show the difference as a correction.
Is the nmea in AGL passing only the integer of TWS or do you think that QtVlm is only reading the integer and is therefore a problem their end?

San Francisco Bay 2020
Many a Sailonline race has started or finished at San Francisco's Golden Gate, but never have we raced inside The Bridge on The Bay. This 27nm sprint corrects that oversight with a fine sight-seeing tour past Alcatraz, Yerba Buena, Brooks and East Marin Island. Our rarely raced Fox 9.50 is your boat of choice. She's a nippy little thing. Enjoy!

Foveaux Strait TIMED Race 2020
Welcome to southern New Zealand, and welcome to this TIMED race through the South Island’s Foveaux Strait. According to a Maori legend, the strait was created by Kewa the obedient whale when traditional Maori ancestor Kiwa summoned the whale to create a waterway. It is a rough and often treacherous stretch of water. Our 98nm quadrangular course goes around some small islands in the strait. To zoom around these islands in style, we will pull our Seacart 30s out of the shed and let them fly. Enjoy!
