SRC, in line with the Board’s direction, establishes the annual racing calendar and then produces the racing calendar for each Quarter - relevant party (reserve):

  • Interface with Marketing (Buddy races) - Go4iT (fastpassage39)
  • Calendar Publication - Go4iT (fastpassage39)
  • Ocean Races - fastpassage39 (Renegade)
  • Sprint Races - Renegade (Patrick)
  • Timed Races - Patrick (Go4iT)
  • SYC Championship Series Races - Go4iT (Patrick)
  • Other races fastpassage39 (Renegade)
  • Interface with OPS - Go4iT (fastpassage39)
  • Calendar Publication fastpassage39 (Renegade)
  • Review of OPS race setups - Go4iT, Renegade and Patrick
  • SRC race database and maintenance - Renegade (Patrick70119)
  • Review of SOL boatyard polars - TBA
  • Championship rankings, prizes, publication and distribution - WINSTON_4

SRC also performs any necessary action related to the following responsibilities:

  • Technical preparation or review of Race courses for any new race (boat choice, start time & location …etc.)
  • Review of existing Series and proposal of new Series
  • Notice of Race (NOR) for Championship Series
  • Continued point of reference as to organizational matters for any race until finished and closed
  • Proposing and updating the SOL Racing Rules ('SRR') in accordance with Corporate decisions
  • Assembling and managing Protest Committees
  • Moderating the Race chat to ensure that proper standards of language are maintained, (shared with OPS)
  • Moderating Forum pages to ‘hear’ our members, (shared with OPS)

Welcome to the Great Lakes region of North America and to a Sailonline classic "lighthouse" race this time around Lake Superior - starting at Wisconsin Point Light - click here to see some of the other famous lighthouses you will see on-course. This race always proves to be an interesting challenge as the waters and shoreline of Lake Superior are among the most rugged and isolated in the United States!

Stockholm to St Petersburg 2019
The Gulf of Finland is still ice-free, so board your X-35´s and get ready for a 450nm passage from one great historic Baltic city to another, via a slight detour south. Take care, keep a weather eye. The odd stray submarine or ice-breaker may need to be avoided.

Raja Muda Selangor International 2019
For the second time, Sailonline has been invited to race in company with the real yachts racing in this year's run from Port Klang to Pangkor. In reality, this is just one race in a full-on week including three overnight passages and three days of inshore racing in the waters of Penang and Langkawi, all organised by the Royal Selangor Yacht Club in association with the RORC.
