Sailonline is shocked and very sad to announce the unexpected death of Bimmer, aka Finn Møller Christensen. Having recently celebrated a milestone birthday, Finn had been very much looking forward to being able to be present in reality once again at the Silverrudder Race of 2021, a race partnership he organised so well for us.

Behind the scenes, Finn was a highly valued and reliable member of Sailonline's OPS Admin team - having joined the team in 2016 - not only sharing in the work of setting up races, but also working with the Boat Particulars sheets and producing timelapse videos of selected races. He was one of few who set up our semi-official Practice Races and was a regular participant in them - racing sharply and keeping us all on our toes.

He is going to be very much missed by us all.

Please feel free to write any messages of memorial or condolence here.

You will be very much missed in these waters dear Finn.
Rest In Peace Bimmer.
The most sincere condolences to your family.
We will all miss you.
I will miss my Danish friend who was so helpful with qtVlm matters and who did so much for SOL. RIP Bimmer.
Very sad to know you cross the finish line my friend. RIP Bimmer!
RIP Finn. In my short time on SOL I have come to know you as a fine online sailor and active worker behind the screens. We will remember you for a long time through all the polar and particular sheets you have made.
Now you can sail away between the stars.
Anche se non gioco da tanto tempo, questa notizia mi ha profondamente rattristato. Naviga in pace Bimmer
Finn
You will be very much missed by the SOL community because you where a good sailing friend and a dedicated worker for SOL !

My thougths are with your family.

Lake Vättern PYOC 2026

Back in 2013, longstanding SOLer Musigny and his friend xthyra invited us for a three race tour of beautiful Lake Vättern in the heart of southern Sweden. After many years, we return there for a quick sprint from a start in front of the village of Brandstorp, either way around Visingso island in the middle of the lake, but PORT HAND ROUND a buoy off the Granna piers on the eastern shore and back, once again avoiding Visingso as best you can. At least 20nm in trusty Scandinavian 11m One Designs; good luck!
