=======================================
2019 SMPF SCHEME IS LAUNCHED!
ANY SPONSORS AROUND? :)
=======================================

The SMPF scheme (SYC Membership Pay Forward) will continue in 2019.

At the end of 12 races in 2018 ( one each month) one annual membership to the Sailonline Yacht Club was made available by a member of the SOL Community to the best finishing NON member in each of the nominated races.

The 2018 sponsors did either make their Sponsorship publicly known, or acted anonymously under the flag of the Sailonline Yacht Club.

The number of slots available for sponsoring one SMPF is extremely limited, as again in 2019 ONLY ONE SMPF race per month will be nominated and sponsored.

By responding promptly to this invitation you will secure yourself a slot in the 2019 Sponsorship list

All you need to do at this time is to write to: coord@sailonline.org , and confirm your willingness to support the SMPF scheme in 2019. If you want you can also indicate which race you would like to sponsor (*). All possible efforts to satisfy you desire will be made.

(*) As Q1 calendar is already published during such period only the three already nominated races can be sponsored.

Some important information before you decide:

1)– Your participation to the scheme, should you want to remain anonymous, will be treated in fully confidential mode by the Coordinator and the Sailonline Nav Sim AB Board, thus there will be only three persons aware of your position in the scheme.

2)- This is by no means a solicitation to invest USD 35,00 into our platform, and you should not in any way feel obliged to adhere to the scheme.

3)- The prerequisite of not being a SYC member for the past twelve months to become eligible for the SMPF scheme , in case of finishing first of non-members, has been confirmed for the 2019 scheme.

We look forward to hearing from you and to a well supported 2019 SMPF scheme!

On behalf of Sailonline NAV SIM AB

Red Eye - Frisian Isles Trophy 2025

For our final “Red Eye” race, we invite you to cross the Noord Zee to the Wadden Zee, where a 160nm course around a few sandy islands raced on SOL only once before in 2010 awaits you. We don’t have a replica of Erskine Childers’ Dulcibella in our boathouse, and in any case if we took her out, we might well contract more than one “Red Eye”, so instead we’ll race our very own riddle of the sands in Farr 400s!

Mistli's Birthday BBQ Race 2025

Welcome to one of Sailonline's great traditions - the ofttimes slightly untimely celebration of SOLer Mistli's birthday on November 1, by way of a tricky race through the Stockholm Archipelago. To match the day that’s in it, this year correctly, we are providing you with a fleet of sleek 11 metre 1-designs (get it?) to slice through these (at least) 61.5nm of SLI-infested waters, and give you a fair chance that there will still be some beer left by the time you moor up by the jetty at Trosa!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
