    Post annotated by RainbowChaser :
This post was moved from the thread MARCH 2014.
I appreciate that the Huelva course in not chosen for a championship race yet another time.

One question regarding March 2nd. Is the announced race start an artifact from the February schedule, or does the second leg of the Steinlager2 RTW race start already on Sunday?

Yet another question. Has there been a lot of negative feedback regarding different start times for the two sprint races? I personally don't care that much, I am just curious.

I recommend the book "Championship Tactics - How anyone can sail faster, smarter, and win races" written by Gary Jobson and Tom Whidden with Adam Loory-
    ISBN 0-321-04278-7
St Martin's Press, New York, 1990

It is written in a narrative style that I found easy to follow (much easier than Bethwaite's book).
It also has a pew pages on polars, VMG, and VMC that should get anyone started who is unfamiliar with those concepts.

Melbourne to Hong Kong
After celebrating Christmas and New Year it is time for the second run in this year's Ocean Race Championship. After leaving Melbourne on this (about) 5.500 NM course, we will leave the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and the Philippines, all to port. And remember, once again we'll have to choose the best way to cross the Doldrums
