	ShamPir - thank you so very much for your poem for Mr K! I am stunned (and happy) that you wrote it. T'will be copied and pasted for sure! Mr K was pts on Monday evening, here at home. Over the past week he had gone from "just" old, deaf, blind and walking stiffly to having his back legs collapsing. Finally, on Monday, after a very very brief morning walk he totally refused food and water and spent most of the day prostrated on one of his beds. Mid afternoon, when usually K would tactically sneeze, stretch and generally announce to the world that it was arvo dog-walk time, he was still flat in his bed. Breathing calmly but very flat and not very with it. I then realised that the time had come for me to release K from his duties of supervising me and called Brian the Oz Vet who said he would come out after office hours (he and I had pre-arranged this a while ago). Just before Brian arrived, Mr K did let me hand feed him a couple of morsels of freshly prepared chicken but still didn't want any water...it was clearly time for him to go. My heart is breaking but my head tells me I did the right thing. Attached is a wee memorial I wrote to celebrate his life and here is a link to Mr K's blog which starts with the memorial but has other pics too. 	Hi RC, I wish you all the best in dealing with this great loss. My wife and I know how your mindset is today, we had a couple of years ago the same issue with our dog, which is 4 months ago replaced by another great puppy RIP mr K and lovely thoughts for you RC! "Sailing is an Art"

	I am so sorry to hear about Mr K. Its a great loss, Some how PRs won't be quite the same without him. Mr K will live on in many SOLers memorys.

	RC, very sorry for your loss of beloved Mr.K. Don't wait long and buy yourself a new young dog.Maybe even better adopt one from dog shelter as that would probably like Mr.K. from heavens. Damir

Welcome to the first of three virtual Tall Ships Races on the Baltic Sea which are being organized in-real-life by Sail Training InternationalThis first race is from Klaipeda, Lithuania to Helsinki, Finland; circa 240nm in Sailonline’s stately fanciful Full Rigger.

Haida Gwaii 2024

We will end the second quarter of the ARCH competition with a 390nm race around the Haida Gwaii islands (literally "Islands of the Haida people"), also known as the Queen Charlotte Islands. This is an archipelago located on the northern Pacific coast of Canada. In SOL, we last raced on this route in 2012 and few people remember what happened there. Prepare your Riptide 50 well, it's going to be a lot of fun.

Newport Bermuda Race 2024

The 636-mile biennial Newport Bermuda Race is one of the oldest regularly scheduled ocean races, and with the Fastnet Race and the Sydney to Hobart Race, it is one of the three great classic races of the yachting world. Founded in 1906, this 53rd running of the Bermuda Race can again also be participated in online.
Entries are invited for one of the four divisions:
