New version for those who are interested.

Go to the page 'VMG overview' and change only the figures in red.

Two exceptions:
-'Chosen setting' where you can input either a TWA in cell C7 or or a CC in cell C8.
- Cell V10, which defines the scale of the graph.

Excellent work as usual Incognito.. I think I can see how this has progressed from your earlier SS.

If you wouldn't mind giving us the benefit of your insight as to how you improved this from the last one and how to utilize its features.

thanks
None so blind
There are 3 main changes:
- I added an input for the settings that you are using or want to use in cells 'C7' and 'C8', an the corresponding data in colum 'G2:G8'.
- I added the VMC row 'E6:T6'.
- I added a macro to adjust the graph automatically when changing cell 'V10'.

I am already thinking of the next version. I would like to give it a more dynamic character by providing key data at various wind speeds and wind angles. That requires a bit more programming however, and that is always time-consuming.
Many thanks for this great job, Inco :)

Where can we find spreadsheets for other boats ?

Almost correct, but it will not work with the Santa Cruz spreadsheet. Reason is that the Santa Cruz polar data does not come from brainaid's site. It is an own construct based on the raw data provided in the race screen. (Interestingly, my interpolations seemed to come very close to the real thing.)

Anyway, here is how to use the spreadsheet for another boat.

1. Download the attached spreadsheet for the Seacart 30.

2. Download the polar data from Brainaid's site and copy it into the cells 'A11:d7250' on the page 'Data'.

3. Right-click on any cell in the table 'F9:AT191' on the page 'Data'.

4. Select 'Refresh Data' in the menu that just appeared. You should see some changes in the table as a result.

5. That 's it! You are ready to go.

Also note that our raw polar data is downloadable from the "Help tab" in the client.
Thanks for your reply but it doesn't work...

When pasting new polar data, the following error message appears : "La taille et la forme des données ne correspondent pas à la zone sélectionnée"

If I ignore that message, values obtained in spreadsheet don't correspond with reality.

Sorry for the trouble...

Hello Josh,

Sorry for the late answer, I was a bit sick for the last few days.

So, if I understand you well, you want to use my spreadsheet with the polar data of another boat.

My first question then is: where does the new polar data come from?

Regards,

Francois

Merci d'avance !

Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
