MapQuest has changed yesterday its policy for tile/map diffusion.

As a consequence qtVlm can't access anymore to their map atm. We are working on a solution.

In order to have a map displayed if you used to have mapQuest:
- go to qtVlm / Configuration / Map
- select either:
* offline maps (VLM) = gshhs
* online VLM maps (gshhs + elevation) to which you can add openSeaMap info

This has no impact on mbTiles or kap config
Christophe - Can you give an ETA for the next update?
Hello,

As maitai will be back from vacations I guess that we will provide a new release next week
Good morning all.

The new qT version displays the boat Polar wrongly.
Please compare the two images got from the SOL client and from qT (with the GPS connected).

Yep JB The QT speed polar is 90 degress off.
I've posted this in QT-forum. So let's see what they read first :-)

There was a typo in this function and as a result qtVlm is using twa instead of twd to rotate the polar (only when receiving it through nmea data).

This is fixed and will be in the next release.
I want to be able to run 2 (or more) QtVlm's on the same computer, simultaneously. Anyone knows how to? Maybe a small setup tutorial!

Viva Finn.

Good morning.

Install the second qT in a different directory, ex.:"c:/Program Files/qTVlm2".
Sail Fair.
I did install qtvlm in d:\qt\. works nice.
So you could install in \race1
\race2
\race3 etc.
If you are short in drive/disk space maybe this is not a good option. About 500 MB needed for every installation.

If you want to route more races at the same time then you have to consider how much your cpu/processor can take. If your computer gets terribly slow or qtvlm crashes then you know you excecuted one task too much...
alternatives?:
- In the same instance of qtvlm you could change the polar of your boat if you would start routing for a new race.... then stop the nmea-proxy for the old race and start the new one.. deleting "old" routes help to avoid confusion around which route is going to where.

- In the qtvlm folder are only 4 files that change with every routing.
You could try to put these files in a race1 folder/map.
You should make a map for every race you want to route.

If after six hours you return to race1 just copy the files from race1 to their original places and you should be ready to go.
files to copy
boatAccReal.dat
poiReal.dat
qtVlm.ini
traceSave.comp

I did not try this alternative till now.
But will give it a go when/if I do more races at th same time.
