Like all have said here, thanks for everything you have done and the help given.
A great tribute to a great sailor who will always be missed
Aaron, You and your passion are missed. Winning legs at A3 series was quite emotional for me.

You great legacy to SOL will last.
It has been too long since I posted a verse. What better time than now...

Ode to Aaron

All around AUS we have raced
ALL 4 Aaron the rest of us chased
And the thoughts of our friend
Shall not come to an end
His legacy firmly in place

It was Tyger's rare gift we employed
To recall AGage and all he enjoyed
The competitive edge,
His life never a "hedge"
But full-on and with hearty "Ahoy!"

The A3 is now at the dock
We think back, reflect and take stock
Of what it has meant
To complete this event...
We wish we could tun back the clock.

Our crewmate keeps watch on our fleet
As we BBQ, chat and compete
His memory stays
With us on through our days
On our reaches, our runs and our beats.

See you over the horizon, mate.
We miss you.

Each of us plays the hand we are dealt in life.
We turn each card over as we live.
It is never how long we play, but how well----and immortality comes when they remember our name.
We will remember Agage in SOL for a long time.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
Thank you for this great race and all you have done to develop SOL. Vale Aaron.
Just miss you every day, Aaron.

Sailonline has finally sailed round Australia and the individual legs of the A3 race will undoubtedly be dusted off and raced again and again in the future.

On Friday, 28 June at 2000utc we will start our last and most Aaron-like race - a quick zoom round the waters offshore his home-yacht club. We aren't racing Sharpies but our Soto 30 should prove sporting enough!

I have run this last AG race late just to make it so - AGage was and is still is the best - we chatted and virtually hugged on SOL and I still think about him every day... LONG LIVE AGAGE!!!!! ;)

Cheers!

Aaron had the patience to answer my emails with my questions.
Few things surprises me, but when I heard the news I was in disbelief.
I am still not want to believe. Maybe he is in meditation somewhere in the Australia outback.
Man. if you are reading this; I miss you.
Antonio

Rapallo to Nador 2026

Welcome to Liguria’s Rapallo, there where Zarathustra spoke - at length - to Nietzsche, for our first race of nine to celebrate all things Mediterranean - fickle winds, history and olive oil. A number of our races in this new Magical Mediterranean series will be partnership with famous real-life races, but this first race is pure fiction - 780nm in refurbed IMOCA 60s, past or through the Balearic Isles and on into the Alboran Sea, to a finish off Nador on the Maroc Mediterranean coast.

Red Eye - Melville Island PYOC 2026

Melville Island is the largest of the Tivi group opposite the port of Darwin in the Timor Sea. Tropically forested and thinly populated, not a lot goes on there, but let’s race around it anyway, lar- or starboard round, it’s a little more than 120nm, so, no matter where you are navigating from on the planet, you will be hard-pressed to complete the course aboard your J-80 in daylight hours!

Cross the Convergence 2026 - Guam to Ouvéa

The third race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us southeastward now down the Pacific, from Guam’s Apra Harbour at 13.5 degrees North, back across the Equator to the glorious New Caledonian resort island of Ouvéa, on the edge of the Tropic of Capricorn at 20.5 degrees South. It’s 2400nm, and there’s more than a few other islands in the way, so mind where you go in your Ocean 50s. Race #1981
