Nice to see a tribute here as well for Magnus Olsson. A great sailor and a superb ambassador to the sport of sailing.

I think the Quidango race is more then fitting as well.

Thank you all for your replies so far, this can help us for future races as well.

My personal thought is go as planned and if we like it we can always re-visit this one and set it up so we can have even more of a record run.

We are know the flex error is giving trouble atm. A lot of people had things clear up by using the previous beta link and accepting the permissions popup from adobe.

Try this: http://www.sailonline.org/windy/run/[insert race inumber here]/?beta=true

We had a lot of reports this allows people to use the newer version and even fix the files and permissions needed to load the normal race link.

This is not a windows 8 problem only so do have a look here as well: http://www.sailonline.org/board/thread/8197/rsl-error-when-loading-latest-client-p/?page=11#post-10205

    Hi Sergio

I have made the change to your country as requested. You now show the correct flag from Brazil.

    Greetings, Jeroen

    Hi gpawlak,

Thank you for your suggestion, I have finally had a chance to look into it.

The race itself seems pretty straightforward so no problem there. Similar to the end of the Global race this leg is quite interesting for strategy.
I am currently looking into the race calendar. Not sure if we have a good spot for it around the 2nd of March.

You noted you want the race to be part of a round Europe series, I would love to see the rest of the legs you are suggesting and the sort of time frame you have in mind.

Excel for the polar should be okay, send us the data and I can make sure we can use it.

Looking forward to hear from you and I get back to you if we can fit it in.

    Jeroen

    Hi Zero,

I am looking around in the forum for a nice little race we can run and came across your post.

Did you discuss a possible start time or date with Joanne or is this race done in a specific time of year?

    Greetings Jeroen

    Hi,

This has slipped under the radar a bit but the idea of this route is off course a very good one. I love the Classic real life routes and races.

I can see no problems with this race and the race setup should be fairly basic. Lets see when we have a nice gap for this in our calendar.

    Nice suggestion

Hi Hirlonde, I am currently setting up the race and making some changes. As I need to access the race I need the race to be available to make these changes. Hence the funky times in the next race section.

It will be available soon enough :)
