"Bilge Brain Brellie" for my pirate ship, please!

Arrrgh, "Bilge Brain Brellie" be a name that tells tales of a pirate with a peculiar mind, one who navigates the treacherous waters of the bilge with wit and cunning. A fine choice, me heartie!

Steering my buddy's boat - he let me have the wheel just long enough to snap a pic, hahaha!

Finished the Christmas Island Race already (did really well by brellis boat standards) and some empty SOL days before the next race begins.

A few years ago I determined to start and finish ~every~ race, so for a while now it seems like I've ~always~ had a boat in the water on some race or another, every day of the year, until the past couple of days. Guess that's a mark of improvement!

Looking at the RANKINGS, WRmirek has ten 1st place finishes in the past three months for a perfect ranking! Has that been done before?

Several years ago, I was catching up to the pack in some race. I came across Bimmer's boat, bbq'd. He started moving again and I noticed him saying in the chat "how about a match race to the next marker?" or something like that. He had spotted me a lead, beat me to the marker pretty easily anyway - but he did so with very cheerful, joyous and helpful hints in his chat comments. In more recent years, I've participated in many Practice Races with him, always a happy experience. Don't even feel like I miss him yet - his presence is emanating all over the Memorial Race, as if he's still here with us! RIP Finn aka Bimmer

    Passing along his info:

After hospitalization, he's recuperating at home. He's still too foggy and weak to do all the tacking and gybing one does in our races, but he's looking forward to getting back out on the virtual water some day soon!

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
