    WHEN
    will you run it RC?
  • Re: RNL: no labels on intended course corners

Legs 3 & 4 worked well, even managed to stay in the front, until a mistimed DC got me stuck at the top of the Coromandel.
Labels etc are all working, now I just need more precision in the prediction department.
RC thanks for the help and Kalle the hard drive had no faults, passed the MAC test bench!

    Board » Technical Support
after installing flash, when at first it appeared to be working OK, on opening up this am found email not working; on restart it got stuck on a corrupt file and did not reboot or start up.
now with the mac doctor, so not good.

    OK, sorted
flash installed, all working labels, chat is standard now.
mac had a block on the adobe products, which was lifted some time ago; now proper flash installed all working.
by the way i did know the weatherslide, just not the abbreviation for it.
thank you, because I didn't set a proper DC i ended up close to the S-island.
Just noticed your dc didn't work either your still going on the same course!!
    cheers Maarten

    Thanks chaser of rainbows
I think the issue may be that I use a Macbook pro, which has a touchpad with gestures sensitivity; hence no right click, no hovering, etc
    and
I don't know what the wx slider is.
I have cleared the cache and restarted yesterday, without improvement.
    will update to latest Flash.

when I put the mouse on the map, the labels on longitude and lattitude are blank.
when I try to assess a future course, the labels at the corners are blank.
result I can't enter a future course on DC or make a good assessment on time delay.

when I try to assess a delayed course, the labels are blank, which means I can't enter course or make a clear assessment of delay time.

Yes, I think as a start, the pinned lay out should work.
How would you plug in the weather as it would be useful to run it as a training session for anybody interested, maybe in the off seasons (3#), in the years that it isn't running in reality.
In those cases the weather should match the expected weather for the period of the season the race is usually run in.
I would suggest to run a trial run in about one month and make contact with some of the guys who are sailing the real thing now.
A number of them have done several installments already and it would be interesting to get a mix of real and virtual racers.

Haida Gwaii 2024

We will end the second quarter of the ARCH competition with a 390nm race around the Haida Gwaii islands (literally "Islands of the Haida people"), also known as the Queen Charlotte Islands. This is an archipelago located on the northern Pacific coast of Canada. In SOL, we last raced on this route in 2012 and few people remember what happened there. Prepare your Riptide 50 well, it's going to be a lot of fun.

Newport Bermuda Race 2024

The 636-mile biennial Newport Bermuda Race is one of the oldest regularly scheduled ocean races, and with the Fastnet Race and the Sydney to Hobart Race, it is one of the three great classic races of the yachting world. Founded in 1906, this 53rd running of the Bermuda Race can again also be participated in online.
Entries are invited for one of the four divisions:
Double-Handed Division:
Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600
St. David's Lighthouse Division:
Santa Cruz 52
Gibbs Hill Lighthouse Division:
Judel Vrolijk 62
Finisterre Division:
Riptide 50
Details for each yacht are available in the ‘Particulars’ links below. As in real life, you can only sail one boat in one division, so choose your virtual yacht carefully, and because of the unusual (for SOL) 4-division nature of the event, please note results will not count towards any Sailonline rankings.
