Hello
I have registered for the second leg from Capetown to Cochin, can you tell me why i now have the race in "Beta" whatever that is???Why the different format?or have I missed something somewhere?Just got used to a good system in my mind..
Thank you
Kati
It's just the client itself that is beta, to let you know it is newly developed and isn't throughly tested yet.

Kalle r we going to racve Leg2 with this new BETA....????
Yes we are!
Any instructions how we log-in or any client to be downloaded... etc... Hopefully you will post them in a due time
Nothing to download, its all flash based, you just follow the "Enter race now" links on the right!
I don't like sailing with the flash client.

What I miss from the old client is:
- Big map window
- Resizeable polar window
- Tool to draw courses
- Different colours for different boats
- Boat traces
- Different blue colours depending on wind

Thanks for the feedback. We simply need to go for a web-based client to be compatible with fire-walls etc. We will work as hard as we can with getting most of the stuff you require into the client.

...one of the guys behind the game...
How is this allocated? Random? Entry Order?

Are colours reallocated next time one logs on?
If it breaks, it's not strong enough!
I think there are too many arrows at the moment and that the density of arrows does not change when zoomimg in or out. Perhaps a wind density slide scale could be good improvement, or a tab with set of preferences to turn off/on different elements.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough!

New Ice Age 2026 - Scott Base to Neumayer Station

To complete our DN circumnavigation of Antarctica and our 4-race ice-boat marathon series, we continue clockwise, now departing from Scott Base back to Neumayer Station. It’s about 3500nm back as well, which, as said if there’s wind at all, should, well-wrapped in your DN-cockpits, not take you much more than five days. And remember: charts down here are unreliable – what is land and what is ice?!

Cross the Convergence 2026 - Tenerife to Fernando de Noronha

The sixth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us back up the Atlantic to Tenerife, from whence we will depart on a classic transatlantic passage to Brazil’s Fernando de Noronha. It’s 2150nm as the albatross flies, but you will undoubtedly have to take some and sometimes sudden detours to get your Volvo 70v4 through the doldrums stretching across your path from the Amazon to the Niger.
