I didn't experience any client loading problems on the first release or the latest one... On the previous client I noticed and issue with wind speed... by hovering the mouse on your boat you would get a different TWS than that shown on instrument panel...

Now seems to be fine, although this client release seems just a little heavier than the simpler previous flash client... Just this small remark, other than that look pretty neat and for sure an upgrade to the previous client.

Using Windows 7 and latest Internet Explorer and Flash clients

Alex: Often the wind can be slightly out if your computer clock is not accurate.

Could those who could not access the Beta version please try again.
Some measure have been taken to hopfully fix the problem encountered when loading.

It works on IE on the crappy internet connection here at work.

Funny, new client works still well at Winnebago, but not any longer at SWR4. Using different tabs in Crome on OSX 10.6.8. Switching to old client at SWR4 doesn't change the result, a white screen.
No error messages and nothing emptied or cleared before.

It seems to work if you use different browsers. I had the new client open for Winnebago in Firefox and SWR4 in Crome earlier today... that work fine.

New Ice Age 2026 - Browerville to Longyearbyen


Our 2026 long-distance ice-boating challenge continues with a second race in Arctic waters, now from Browerville, where we arrived less than a month ago, continuing east, back to Svalbard’s Longyearbyen, leaving Canada’s Ellesmere Island to port and Denmark’s Greenland to starboard. Way-back-when France and England, and Spain as well, were squabbling about who should control what of North America, only to lose the most of it to their own insurging colonists, their eastern European neighbour empire, Russia, was quietly assimilating vast, thinly nomadically populated territory of its own – Siberia! Amongst the many explorers and adventurers that served Russia so well in these conquests was the Cossack hetman Pyotr Beketov. Let’s pretend we’re he and eschewing horseback, let’s travel by balloon from Yekaterinberg to Krasnoyarsk – just a short 2000km (1100nm) section of the Trans-Siberian Express’ 9289km!
