Board » Technical Support » RSL/FLEX error when loading latest client - post HERE

Page: First Previous 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Next Last

I just went straight in on the beta this afternoon at work.. It did not work on the intial load of the new client a week ago. W7 IE8.

One thing I did notice though was today I was immediately asked in a popup if I would allow the Solclient to be allowed to store information on my computer. 1MB.
I accepted. Only then would the weather/map load complete.
Perhaps some corporate computers are not allowing this popup.

Correction - a week ago, it did work but took a few minutes to load.

Hi again.

Still getting the error after installing Mac OS X Lion. Same error messages as before unfortunately.

I'll start Windows 7 on the same machine with Parallels Desktop V6 now and see if it's still a
problem there as well.
If there is anything else I should try, please let me know.

PS! I assume this new client will be switched off prior to the next race unless it's available to everyone?
RSLs can be complicated to create, use, and deploy. The following table describes common errors and techniques to resolve them:

Error: #1001

Resolution:

This error indicates that the digest of a library does not match the RSL SWF file. When you compile an application that uses an RSL, you specify the library SWC file that the application uses for link checking at compile time and an RSL SWF file that the application loads at run time. The digest in the library's catalog.xml file must match the digest of the RSL SWF file or you will get this error. If this error persists, recompile the application against the library SWC file again and redeploy the application's SWF file.

If you are using framework RSLs, then the SWZ file is a different version than what the application was compiled against.

Check whether this is the case by adding a failover RSL SWF file and recompiling. If the error does not recur, then the SWZ file is out of sync.
None so blind
A2R: This was for the developers, right? I don't have the code and can't recompile anything!

Administrators: I get the same error on my Windows partition by the way!
Lølla: Oh they prolly know this already just wondered what was going on & found this on Adobe's Troubleshooting page for Flex 3.

Informational Purposes Only, do not try this at home.

But I am on an iMac with Tiger 10.4.11 / Flash 10.3 / FireFox 3.6.26
None so blind
looks good at home..Win 7 chrome flash 11,1,102,55 installed
Any ideas what next. Both my PC and laptop will not load the new client, have tried emptying cache, installing new flash player and installing Chrome but no good .
Regards
Nigel.
Try this in Windows 7:
Open Flash Advanced Settings Tab in the Control Panel. Erase all old settings for Flash with the upper right button.
It solved the problem for Klyvarn.

This trick did not help for me in the new beta-version 2012-02-15.
Downloading the 10.7.3 Lion update. Will report how it works out.
There's a new Flash Update out as of this evening. Downloading 11.1.102.62 now.

Africa by Sea 2025 - Suez to Port Said

When Napoleon (briefly) occupied Egypt at the turn to the 19th C, he ordered his expedition’s Directeur des Ponts et Chaussées, Jacques-Marie Le Père, to evaluate the ancient, derelict, infilled course of a Ptolemaic canal connecting the Red Sea to the Nile via the Great Bitter Lake, versus a new canal to the Mediterranean directly. Neither were considered feasible – locks to climb a pauvre-surveyed 10m sea-level difference, or continuous dredging of the Nile, would both be equally financially prohibitive. Fifty years passed before the unlikeliness of Le Père’s survey finding was challenged and a French Compagnie Universelle du Canal Maritime de Suez obtained a 99-year concession from the Khedive of Egypt, Said Pasha, to construct and operate a canal from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean, much against the will of the Ottoman Sultan, Abdulmecid I (the Pasha’s nominal overlord), and the wishes of the (Irish) British prime minister, Lord Palmerston. The year was 1859, the very number of this race (planning, dear boy, planning!), which, despite the canal’s double-super-tanker gauge and lack of locks, is strictly prohibited to sailors IRL. But not SOLers! 85nm in Fareast 28Rs to complete your circumnavigation of Africa!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
