A Poster for the 3CR race, just for fun.

Blake - that is excellent!!! It will be on the SOL homepage blog for sure :-)

P.S. folks... we still need an ocean race! Maybe a Cape Town to Rio (or other way round). What do you think?
Hi RC!

Can I ask if you could refer this query to Kalle etc;

How about putting a menu button at top of homepage that takes us directly to your spreadsheet or a list of upcoming races?

I know it is a continual work in progress but this might be a nice feature for our ease of use.

I recently went to another virtual sailing site that included a list on the homepage and thought this was a nice feature for forward planning. Right now it is a bit awkward hunting down the planned races spreadsheet.

George/Jawz - that is something on the wishlist. At the moment when there is a revision of the spreadsheet it becomes a new item in the system which means all links need to be revised too... I have started to put a Current Calender link in the Homepage centre blog but you have reminded me that it has slipped off again!

One day it will all work splendidly!! In the meantime maybe you could bookmark the Current Calender thread?
I am very glad to see the AlsFyn Race 2011, starting 30 SEP 10.00 UTC

As some of you know, my students will join with 7 boats (FRI_xxxxxxx).

I would like to connect each boat with a mentor! ShamPir has already accepted to join, but I still need 4-6 SOLers.

My students are complete beginners, but we have decided to stay at our school all night from friday to saturday to sail our local race.

So, if you are interested, write a post here in the forum. Talk to 13-14 year old bright young Danish pupils in english.

We wont win, but hope to learn and have fun.

Sailonline’s 15th Birthday Balloon Race
Sailonline offers a huge variety of boats to sail in. One of the more unusual ones has got to be SOL's Balloon, which was polarized by past SOLmaster 76Trombones. Notably, the SOL Balloon will actually ‘sail’ in other directions other than straight downwind, although it will not 'sail' over land or beyond a 'beam reach'. Like in 2013 and 2018, we will be taking the Balloon across the Atlantic from St. John's and 'land' it in the sea off the Cliffs of Moher.
