Damn keep forgetting to double check that I am logged in as myself, after checking a mate's boat! But funny I should answer as ronny, he's sailed them to!

I hope he asked you to check his boat....:(

You do not log in as SOL to check your friend's boat. This is abuse of the server. Use the menu on your right side of your screen. Become familiar with this menu that can almost perform miracles for you. Not least under Boats menu. Click to enjoy :-)
I am at a loss to understand 'Honesty Race'. How does it differ from a timed race such as the present "St Malo TIMED Race"?
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
Same thing but in RL you have to clock yourself... hence the honesty.

Baggus how about posting your course and boat here and people can kick some tires? IRL it's a matter of identifying the likely overall conditions for a fast run and then watching the forecasts/current conditions for a match (routing can help here). Local knowledge will account for the other 75%...

:-)
@UC: Of course he asked me... Uneccessary comment mate...

@Jawik: I said I log in as sol to check a race prior to reg, then I made a post under ronny as I forgot just closing the race doesnt log you out, I need to still manually do it from home page. As I have only boat-sat twice now, I still forget occassionally to double check.

TY, I am quite familiar with how to use a website... A few occassional oversights may still happen though, especially when head clouded with flu for the past week...

Sorry - I miss understood you and that's the time one should read before one press enter :-)
Maybe I should have put a smiley face.........:)
Hi Baggus,
the idea of 76 is really attractive.
you will have a lot of available start windows analysed for free from high skilled sailor all over the world! lol
Of course you are the capt. so you decide ;-)
wait a second...
extending the concept....
what about a IRL honesty SOL race?
fixed course that could be sailed anywhere, anytime in the world with whatever boat....
Then we would need the ability of 76 to compare the result at the end.....
Am I crazy? yeessss!

Mistli's Birthday BBQ Race 2025

Welcome to one of Sailonline's great traditions - the ofttimes slightly untimely celebration of SOLer Mistli's birthday on November 1, by way of a tricky race through the Stockholm Archipelago. To match the day that’s in it, this year correctly, we are providing you with a fleet of sleek 11 metre 1-designs (get it?) to slice through these (at least) 61.5nm of SLI-infested waters, and give you a fair chance that there will still be some beer left by the time you moor up by the jetty at Trosa!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
