All is OK with both races on my computer. A couple of things you might like to try.

1. Empty browser cache completely and even run a registry/disc cleaner for good measure.

2. Check that you are running the latest version of Flashplayer.

These are things that have helped in the past on the couple of occasions I had a problem.

Sometimes, too, I have read in chat that ISPs can run very slowly and as a result time-out before the SOL download completes.

Hope this helps?

Hi Bigstorm, have you got another browser on the coputer you can test? Most of the time cleaning the temporary files of the browser helps.

Another thing you can try is log in as sol.
boatname sol password sol, this is a comunity boat that can help force new weather.
I am a ex-admin of SOL who joins in from time to time.
Hi,

Well I'm in now on another computor at work. When I get home I will check how things go and try your suggestion. Problem last night could not even get the web site to come up to try anything. It must be me because I went aground and everyone else went on their marry way. I never had this problem before.Plus all the other web sites where ok.

This experience must be very frustrating. I know I would be pulling my hair out, as the saying goes, if it were happening to me.

I have one minor suggestion to add to the above list of general remedies. Perhaps it is something you have already tried but did not mention as whatever procedures you went through did not make any difference so far.

Delete all cookies in your browser file that are from the Sailonline site.

I actually fixed a problem with the site in the past, although I don't recall the nature of the symptoms now, but I was trying everything to get back to a clean slate, including dumping my browser altogether & re-installing it. I cannot offer an explanation as to why this could be the culprit except that if it does the trick it is worth a shot.

None so blind

Red Eye - Frisian Isles Trophy 2025

For our final “Red Eye” race, we invite you to cross the Noord Zee to the Wadden Zee, where a 160nm course around a few sandy islands raced on SOL only once before in 2010 awaits you. We don’t have a replica of Erskine Childers’ Dulcibella in our boathouse, and in any case if we took her out, we might well contract more than one “Red Eye”, so instead we’ll race our very own riddle of the sands in Farr 400s!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
