Me usual identity now be Thor n Loki if that suit ye? Can ye change me name according-like? Username be RGrainger. Thank ye kindly Capn.

I'd be 'appy ter change yer moniker, but there be no boat Thor in the race - be ye wantin' yer boatname/username changed to Thor mayhap? T'would need to be Thor + a number if'n so. Otherwise, please identify yersel - methinks yer be 'Grainger?

Yes - RGrainger is my username. I changed Display name to Thor in my settings, but it still shows RGrainger as my entry name in races.

please confirm if you wish your boatname/username to be changed to Thor (not for this race, obviously) as the name change needs to occur in the database :-) - unfortunately I cannot give you a pirate name as you are not currenty an SYC member!

Since brewman beat me to my first choice, please make my name 'Inigo Montoya' (the NEXT Dread Pirate Poberts).

Also, in the main post of this thread, the list of this year's names says "2018" at the top.

Now get your scurvy self off of me ship,
Pit8008

ye be mighty handy with the proof-readin', clearly a man o' letters - I thank'ee. Now yer Montoya-ship, you be all set!

Port Huron to Mackinac 2025

First run in 1925, the race from Huron to Mackinac is considered to be the world's longest consecutively run freshwater sailing race. Let's go - 260nm in X-362 Sport's awaits!!
Throw away unnecessary ballast from your boats. Fresh water has less buoyancy, which means greater draft and greater resistance to movement, which means lower speeds, etc.😊

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!

Camel or Balloon 2025 - Khartoum to N'Djamena

As there is a lull in the calendar, your PRO has decided to risk an experiment – a balloon race over land, using a workaround to eliminate the recognition of water/land transitions. If it fails, the server may crash, and we abandon PDQ, hopefully after leg 7 of the ABS race to Suez has been decided, and before the start of the 1st OCC of Q4. Camel or Balloon – c 1000 nm from a field on the north bank of the Blue Nile at Khartoum to a field on the north bank of the Chari River at N'Djamena!
