UPDATED BOAT NAMES

Please note that all names posted up to this point have now, if registered in the Feeder Race, had their names modified by the addition of "_SOTP".

This amendment inrace of your boatname has no impact whatsoever on your usual login credentials, and just appears in the race itself.

Fair Winds, all!
This may be a nice opportunity to use flagpole again:
http://sol.kroppyer.nl/flagpole/

Log in using you sol credentials and select the GGR race. You can now hoist the SOTP flag. Now when people look at the ranking on flagpole, they can see your flag. It is also possible to filter the ranking on flags so that you can create a ranking with only the boats flying a SOTP-flag.

In addition to the SOTP-flag you can also hoist the (new) RETRO-flag. The SOTP flag is meant for people who do not use a router (but WxInspector, spreadsheets and other non-routing tools are allowed). With the RETRO flag you declare not to use a computer at all (apart from for the purpose of steering your boat of course).

I might take the liberty to hoist the SOTP flag on flagpole for everyone who declared to sail SOTP in this thread.
I'm in for SOTP
Hi, I am in for SOTP in this series.
=== Navegare Necesse ===
I, CelemansRKN, declare will race this prologue and the race proper (in two legs) by the proverbial "Seat Of The Pants" (SOTP) with no outside assistance from routing software or other external aids, relying solely on the SOL predictor line and dead reckoning for navigation.
Halibut68 is in!
Count me in as well. Bimmer
I'm racing SOTP
Count me in. SOTP it is.
Count me in with the SOTPs if not too late.

The Beagle in the Bay of Islands 2024

And west the Beagle went again to reach the Bay of Islands on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island on the 19th of December. Darwin was not nearly as impressed by the inhabitants here, commenting that the Maori natives were “savages with the character of a much lower order than the Tahitians” and many of the English settlers were of “the most worthless character” and “included runaway convicts”, not anticipating that less than 200 years later a blend of these characteristics would combine to create a nation of serial Rugby World Cup Winners – evolution, eh, Charlie! The Beagle sailed on swiftly, but we will stay a little longer and explore c 200nm of the North Island’s glorious eastern coast, up and down, as ever in our replica Tall Ship Class B.
