> chmod +x generate-launchers.sh
> ./generate-launchers.sh
generated AG.sh and AG_no_ini.sh with
absolute paths, you can safely copy or move
the files elsewhere
> cat AG.sh
java -jar /home/huib/sol/ag_x_y_z.jar
autoGribLoader.ini ag_x_y_z.jar
> cat AG_no_ini.sh
java -jar /home/huib/sol/ag_x_y_z.jar
ag_x_y_z.jar
Would this work? It's a slightly different approach I think.

EDIT file contains a typo: "more" instead of "move", but it needs editing anyway

I discovered a small bug in this Version 2.5.5 which has an adverse affect on the server and will cause the application to crash if there are no boats in the AIS list. If you have already downloaded, please re-download and replace autoGribLoader 2 5 5.jar file with the one in this zip file. Version 2.5.5
There appears to be an issue with the latest qtVlm release where the course waypoints are not being loaded into qt. The work around is to import the gpx file <race_id>_course_waypoints.gpx that is created in the polar folder.

EDIT: You need to check "Treat RMB messages (WP)" at the bottom of the NMEA Tab in qT. Solution from Bimmer.

Kipper: It would be really useful to be able to log data for all boats or perhaps just those selected for AIS display. Last year psail and I used hmmm's logs to do some post-race analysis on the 2016 Mel-2-Osaka race but unfortunately hmmm's site is no longer available.
Version 2.5.6 is now available and has the following enhancements
1. Added ability to create a log file of AIS boats data (dtayls request)

Bug fixes – 2.5.6
1. Fixed localisation issues with the creation of polar files

Thank you so kindly Kipper.
I'm still amazed how good your tool is :-))
Version 2.5.7 is now available and has the following enhancements:

1. Ability to load exported qtVlm detailed routes (gpx format) as additional course waypoints in the DC Checker
2. Highlights DC’s where performance loss minimisation is possible
3. Current TWA on Current Boat Data tab will highlight when the twa is outside the maximum VMG ranges
4. Boat Data Table will only show boats that have not finished. Fixes the problem with multiple boats showing in timed races
5. Reorganised the window title to allow better identification of race and important data.

Bug fixes – 2.5.7

1. Various bug fixes with corrupt or partial downloads of server data.
2. Issues with loading gpx data.
Version 2.5.7p1 is a patch need to handle the missing tilemap tag in the race information xml. DC Checker won't work in the Twisted Race unless this version is installed.

Sinbad Braves the Bay of Bengal 2023
“Sinbad, you sorry sailor, why have you not told me of this great sea, this giant bay, stretching hundreds of thousands of qasbah east of Al-Hindi to fabled lands where tea and rice and rubber is abundant?” and Sinbad replied “Ahh, umm, shall I go have a look. May I take the Judel Vrolijk 62 again, it’s going to be a long voyage, perhaps a million and one half qasbah (c 3000nm)? I’ll start in Chittagong and follow the coast to the southern tip of the Hindus’ land, round Serendip, head east into the vastness of the seas, and if I’m lucky (no pun intended, oh Mighty One) I shall find land again and then head north and see where I end up”. “Fair winds, Sinbad”, said the Sultan.

Maryland to Alaska 2023
Welcome to this September edition of 2023 OCCH. This route was first sailed in 2020. At the time it was inspired by Matt Rutherford's single-handed Red Dot Expedition around the Americas in 2012, SOLer Renegade proposing a half-around from Maryland over the North into the Pacific and back through the Panama Canal, in 5 legs, 5 years later. Leg 2 across the North West Passage proved to be particularly challenging and so to create a proper Ocean Race, SRC combined Leg 2 with Leg 1 to give you a race of at least 4000nm from Maryland to Alaska, now to be sailed in our magnificent Archer 78.
