I'm with rage.
The current setup doesn't allow entering commands during the working day, so multiple day races would be a lot more suitable.
I understand the difficulties if you have to use delayed commands. Still I think that some more variation of courses would be nice. All offshore races are very much alike, so I think an archipelago race would be fun for a change.

It's not a matter of choosing one or the other, I'd like both!

We'll continue to do a mix of short, medium and long races. That way everyone can be happy!
It time for a warmer climate race. Fremantle to New Zealand. Not too much green stuff to hit into.
I enjoyed sailing the big cats so it would be fun to sail them again.
Yep,
More Southern Hemisphere stuff.
I am happy support in Australia.
Great job lads

You guys from Australia / New Zeeland, perhaps you could start a new thread and brainstorm which race you wanna do? Also think about what race would attract more sailors from your home countries, which websites that would be interested doing a little PR or the races ETC.
I assume that racing alongside the VOR 08/09 is planned when that kicks of in the autumn? otherwise I may have come up with the best future race suggestion ;)
Alpina! Fantastic idea! We will definitely keep this in mind. ;-)

Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
