ralf - go back to the Homepage, refresh the screen (or empty browser cache and reload Homepage)and in the right-hand side Race Description for Leg 4 of the Global CHallenge you will see a highlighted link to "SOL Classic Client".

@Jeroen nope, no show.
I've looked and saw messages like this on the net going back to 2008. Looks like generic flash on linux fail. So what else is new.
When does development start on an HTML5 client ? ;)

Its high on the list, but this is no Linux related issue. I run Linux all the time and have had no problems. Its more a flash problem, it does not use browser cache and instead has its own buffer for stuff. Clearing or refreshing this seems to be the cause of the problem. If I have another option to try I will let you know.
I am a ex-admin of SOL who joins in from time to time.

I wonder if any of you now having the RSL error used the beta client?

You can still try it using this link:

Could you report if that works for you, that page loads the flash in a bit different way.

Yes, with Firefox the error still occurs. As I mentioned elsewhere, in Chrome the client load without any problem.

The ?beta=true link works fine as well.

Hi Schakel,

So you can load the beta=true within firefox without problems, and the current client gives the flex error?
Interesting to know.

To complete our DN circumnavigation of Antarctica and our 4-race ice-boat marathon series, we continue clockwise, now departing from Scott Base back to Neumayer Station. It’s about 3500nm back as well, which, as said if there’s wind at all, should, well-wrapped in your DN-cockpits, not take you much more than five days. The sixth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us back up the Atlantic to Tenerife, from whence we will depart on a classic transatlantic passage to Brazil’s Fernando de Noronha. It’s 2150nm as the albatross flies, but you will undoubtedly have to take some and sometimes sudden detours to get your Volvo 70v4 through the doldrums stretching across your path from the Amazon to the Niger.
