I agree with other "posters".. :-)
This proposal is simple, logical and easy to understand and follow.
I too am glad to see the proposals re:Team boats.
Therefore I agree that they should be adopted as soon as is reasonably possible.
    Good work guys!

I just started experiencing this issue running through Internet Explorer 9 and a wired internet (100Mb) connection in the UK. Tried the Beta site and it looked to be ok but could not load the latest SWR2014-2 race from there to know if it was race specific..
I have now accessed the race and my boat using Chrome as the browser so not a big issue per se but thought I'd add the information to the thread in case it helps anyone...
    Cheers

    HI,
Just started Leg 9 and was mid fleet. Wanted to adjust my course so went back to the site, and went to race page to find boat head to wind. Have reset a number of times, and despite the heading showing as corrected, it then defaults within minutes to head to wind!!!!

HELP!!! I've gone from around 340th to 550th as I type this!!!!

That's the same for me too! It's surprisingly confusing not being able to see my own or other's tracks.... Suddenly they just aren't there.
    Any thoughts?

Thanks for response & I'll try to get screenshots if it happens again.
    Cheers.

Incidentally, when I asked about resolution, I meant resolution of the chart (i.e. how accurate it is), not the resolution (or solution) of any issue....
  • Resolution or bug?

Closing on the finish of the Antwerp to Belfast race, I set a COMPASS course to cross the finish line approx one third of the way in from the northern end of the line. Once logged with the server, projected track showed straight through where I wanted it to be, so I went off to do some chores. When I came back, my boat had shot straight past the northern end of the line and hit the docks in Belfast!! It's not a big issue per se, I was lying about 240th and had made minor errors of my own so I wasn't likely to win, but as this is a time on distance race, it might have made a difference and would certainly have done had I been closer to the front!!
    Any thoughts?
    Neil T.

Refeno Rally 2024

Although since 1986 this 300nm course from Recife, Brazil, to Fernando Noronha Island has been run many times IRL, we have only used this route twice in SOL. This time it will be the route of the last race in the ARCH 2024 classification.
Although the winner of the general classification can already be determined, the fight for the next places on the podium should be fierce. There are several contenders and Dofour34 have them at their disposal. Since we are starting in Vida_Maldita's home waters, he will give us a 30-minute handicap. Or maybe we should give it to him? 😊

The Beagle in the Azores 2024

And west the Beagle went one final time to round the Cape of Good Hope on May 31 1836. Ashore, Darwin met up with the Astronomer Royal, Herschel, who just happened to be in South Africa at the same time mapping the southern skies. After sounding out his many ideas on evolution and extinction with Herschel, the Beagle now sailed north, stopping briefly in St Helena, Ascension and Brazil, and the Cape Verdes again, to reach the Azores on September 19, 1836. Fitzroy and Darwin at this stage were in a hurry to get back to Britain, but online in 2024 we will stay a little longer to explore this final remote archipelago in our virtual Tall Ship Class B Beagle, 630nm round and about the islands, minding as always in these waters not to bump into any large cetaceans!
