    I get ...

    RSL Error 3 of 3

Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL http://www.sailonline.org/static/windy/ framework_3.5.0.12683.swf. Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your application with the matching library.

But the classic version does work

    Thanks

TeamViewer is another simple, free remote desktop client that has great Android and iPhone/iPad apps. I sometimes use this if I need to browse the weather situation.

I use Real VNC (remote desktop) and it works on my android 2.3.

Thanks Richard!! It does indeed work on my Android (HTC Sensation). Very slow, but that's more the dial up speeds we get here. Can't wait to try it in the US!
Does the Android not support Flash nativity?

If you click on the box/arrow button at the bottom it allows you to select the keyboard. You can then type in the course fields.

Yes it is stand alone. Just watch you data useage if you are not on wifi as it reloads just like the normal browser.

I am not an android user so do not know of the best solution for that, sorry.
  • Re: iPhone

I have managed to find a working solution to use the native SOL interface on the iphone.

Install a browser app call Puffin, which is only 99c in the AppStore. Using that you can login, view and make changes to your boat. You can zoom in and out, look at the weather forcast and plot courses by touching the screen.

One of the icons at the bottom will allow you to switch to 'drag' mode so you can move around the chart or the 'keyboard' mode so you can enter data.

It works really well on both the iPhone and iPad, and has now allowed me to leave the house for longer periods when races are on!

OK I think I have solved it! It was caused by the computer clock going back one hour? For some reason even clearing the browser cashe did not fix it? Restart seemed to work : )

    Thanks

I am still unable to get it working after 16 hours of not seeing my boat. As far as I am concerned the race should be cancelled as it is no longer a fair race.

Red Eye - Myth of Malham 2025

In 1947, Hugh McLean & Sons of Gourock, Scotland built a radical racing yacht for John Illingworth, soon-to-be Commodore of the RORC, to a design by Laurent Giles. With a masthead rig, giving her ‘free’ sail area per the rules of the time, and short overhangs reducing pitching, Myth of Malham went on to win The Fastnet that year and again in 1949, and to compete in numerous Admiral's Cups. In 1958, in honour of the yacht, the Myth of Malham race was conceived - a mini-Fastnet to the first lighthouse on a rock west of Cowes, Eddystone, rather than the second, to be held in non-Fastnet years. IRL this year it has been raced already, but this stops us not from “Red Eye” racing its online 230nm in Fareast 31Rs, leaving how to deal with the Isle of Wight open to your own discretion.

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
