	I'm shocked. One window of my browser runs one of his tools with his name in the heading and the other window announces his death. We discussed the development of his tools and Aaron was always a good advisor. He improved SOL a lot. I still can't believe the truth now. My thoughts are with his family. Bernd (K3)

	Even though I'm on SOL vacation I go to the home-page from time to time, I even did the Tall Ships. It is terrible to see someone leave this world so early, a talented man has left us. My thoughts are with the family. 'you'll never walk alone'

	I have been stunned into silence by this tragic loss and have only just regained enough composure to honour our dear friend. Ode To AGage We sail to Larvik far in the north Our hearts too heavy to stay on course We’ve lost our friend, our mentor and sage. The fleet seems barren without AGage His presence is felt in all we do Our SOLing a tribute to him we knew His passion and talent cannot be replaced And we honour him though our joy of each race. Please watch over us all from your podium high While we watch for your countenance in each cloudless sky. The bell chimed too early for you Aaron, my friend To your family, the deepest of sympathy we send. May your winds always be lifting, your seas never rough Your course always steady, your sails never luff. You remain in our memory, a comrade and crew. 	48 hrs I only started to admit the truth today. I'm an idiot for not telling my wife and friends as soon as I saw the search results. I'd never seen a picture of Aaron until RC posted his profile pic, but we've maintained a continuous friendship via email... funny how modern life turns out - someone I'll never meet, yet when I said "Aaron" my partner knew it was bad just from logging me out. The second posting kills me. We all know that the 105 pixels that define us online are meaningless. I absolutely hate that fucking clipart sailboat at the same time as being emphatically grateful that it is there. Thank you Katrina, Jen and Indi. Thanks Aaron. It'll be a while before I'm around. Welcome to the third of three virtual Tall Ships Races on the Baltic Sea which are concurrently being organized in-real-life by Sail Training International . This third race is from Mariehamn, Finland to Szczecin, Poland; circa 250nm in Sailonline’s stately fanciful Full Rigger.
NOTE: Starts and Finishes in tall ships racing are always offshore to avoid conflict with shipping and shipping lanes.

Kalamata to Alanya 2024

For the beginning of the ARCH competition's third quarter, we will sail our boat, SOTO 40, from Kalamata, Greece over the Aegean Sea always eastward to the race finish, 520nm away, in Alanya, Turkey.

Kamchatsky to Tromsoe 2024

Just before the light failed entirely in Antarctica, Skip Novak managed to get his Pelagic 77 out of the ice and north up the Pacific to Kamchatsky. The sun is shining (24/7) and not a penguin to be seen, and Skip believes the Norh East Passage is ice-free (sufficiently) to attempt it, so all aboard for a c 4250nm voyage from east to west across the top of Siberia, Russia and Norway to Tromsoe!

Cowes to St Malo TIMED Race 2024

Organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club since 1929, the Cowes to St Malo Race is a true RORC Classic. Starting from the Royal Yacht Squadron Line, Cowes, IOW, a magnificent spectacle can be watched from The Parade, Cowes. The Cowes to St Malo Race is part of the RORC Season’s Points Championship, the world’s largest offshore racing series. Dating back to 1906, the Cowes to St Malo Race precedes all of the world’s famous races including the Fastnet Race. This is a TIMEDrace, so you may RE-REGISTER HERE to try again, after finishing a run. You will have 13 days and 11 hours to show your skill and decision making after the race opens.

Southampton to Punta del Este 2024

Sailonline is delighted to offer our sailors a 'reversed' Atlantic ocean race. As the RTW championship Atlantic part takes a detour to the Bahamas, we will offer you a reversed course as we will not do the 'usual' leg this year either. It is the July edition of this year's Ocean Championship. Our boat is the OD_65v3.
