What are the details of the legs?
Leg 1 Auckland to Mangonui
Leg 2 Mangonui to Stewart Island
Leg 3 Stewart Island to Napier
Leg 4 Napier to Auckland

SOL is following the irl RNZ - details at ssanz.co.nz
Was wondering if NORs have been prepared. I assume that start times are as IRL?
Hi NZL Scotman - SOL's NORs are automatically generated by Brainaid's website once races are set up in SOL and become visible when the race becomes visible on the Homepage.

The SSANZ race info is all available from the SSANZ website which is linked from the SOL Homepage.

When you read the SSANZ info you will see that there is a formula for starting the legs subsequent to the first one, based on a time after a % of arrivals.

As SOL is officially buddied with SSANZ the intention is for the IRL race organisers to advise SOL of the start times of these subsequent legs.

Hope this helps!

The following is an extract from the SSANZ Sailing Instructions and explains how the next leg start time(s) are worked out:

QUOTE
10 COMPULSORY STOPOVERS AND RESTARTS:
10.1 The compulsory stopover durations are:
* Mangonui 24 hours ( Minimum 12 hours, see text below)
* Stewart Island 72 hours ( Minimum 36 hours, see text below)
* Napier 48 hours ( Minimum 24 hours, see text below)
10.2 There will be a mass restart of each leg at a convenient time after approximately 75% of the fleet have
fulfilled the stopover duration.
10.3 The new start times will be established by the Port Captain and will be posted on the SSANZ Notice Board
at each port.
UNQUOTE

SSANZ will also be telling SOL of the new start-time, and as soon as we have the time, the next leg will open for practice.

The active racing leg will stay open as long as practicable.

New Ice Age 2026 - Scott Base to Neumayer Station

To complete our DN circumnavigation of Antarctica and our 4-race ice-boat marathon series, we continue clockwise, now departing from Scott Base back to Neumayer Station. It’s about 3500nm back as well, which, as said if there’s wind at all, should, well-wrapped in your DN-cockpits, not take you much more than five days. And remember: charts down here are unreliable – what is land and what is ice?!

Cross the Convergence 2026 - Tenerife to Fernando de Noronha

The sixth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us back up the Atlantic to Tenerife, from whence we will depart on a classic transatlantic passage to Brazil’s Fernando de Noronha. It’s 2150nm as the albatross flies, but you will undoubtedly have to take some and sometimes sudden detours to get your Volvo 70v4 through the doldrums stretching across your path from the Amazon to the Niger.
