I will think of a name and description and get back to you.
Thank you so much Rainbow!
What is the approximate race date?
St. Lucie - Jupiter Ocean Racing Association (SJORA)
CKH - haven't got a race date.. it might be as soon as March, though, as its good for the race calendar to have a race in each of SOL's main timezones each month :-) That's the intention anyway!

You also need to select a suitable starting time.. the sort-of rule being trialled at the moment is:

Mon-Fri - the utc equiv of local 1800hrs
Sat-Sun - the utc equiv of lcoal 1000hrs

BUT race designers can pick the start-time for their races!!

I would prefer early weekday race, preferably early morning start 0600-0800.

RC here is the name and description:

SJORA Florida Current Race 2011

Ahhhh warm sunny ocean race! Strip of the foul weather gear and sail in your shorts!
Don't forget the sunscreen and rum!
Don't fall over board! as you sail through the Eden of Sharks!

A 222.2nm three legged race: Leave Port of Palm Beach Florida in a j30, crossing the Florida Current to Freeport Bahamas. Crossing the Florida Current again to Port of Miami Florida. A quick sprint up the SouthEast Coast of Florida, finishing where you started in Port of Palm Beach Florida. Stay awake for this one!

Gottit!! Thank you :-)

The early weekday morning - is that a time in utc or local please?

St. Lucie - Jupiter Ocean Racing Association (SJORA)

Tobruk to Iskenderun 2026

Welcome to the fourth of our nine races across the length and breadth of the Magical Mediterranean Sea, and the second that is not in partnership with a real-life event, this time for good reason, which we won’t get into here. From Tobruk to Iskenderun it’s 670nm in length, with the added complication that the island of Cyprus will be in your way. Hoping, possibly forlornly, for plenty of downwind sailing, we’ll take the Lagoon 55 for the voyage!

Tasmania to Kamchatka 2026

Welcome to yet another all-new route. Tasmania to Kamchatka, part of our Ocean Championship and also the third leg of the ROW (Round the Old World) series. Be aware of the obstacles on the way, likely to split the fleet. It's like X:mas to X:mas, crossing the same waters, navigating the same archipelagos. This second race of OCQ2 2026 will be sailed in our revised 'version 2' Imoca 60 Foil. Race #2031
