Beginning to wish I'd never done this. Started on a DC, 5 hours playing poker, come home to see I'm 419th with no idea where anyone else is, basic maths is beyond me, BER Bonzo telling me there's no-one more north except some Slovakian boat, she's probably lying. God, what a mess.

All in all, I could do without seeing my placing....
It's definitely tougher on the nerves! Remember that you're allowed a peek at the fleet each update. Some of us have committed to sailing fully blind, but I'll be checking in once daily.
I'm not going to check in at all. How will I know if anyone has finished? In fact, has everyone finished? :-)
well we could say we have finished(lied), or you could just wait till your done and see(big surprise)

its all about faith in ones self.(big deal philosophy time)

see ya after i finish

New rule #5 - everyone lie to Baggus. Rule #4 encourages us to support Bonzo, and the unwritten rule #4 1/2 (all in good fun) clearly implies that he be made to suffer.

:-P
I'm in... :-)
heh heh. Is there any way in which we can see how this race unfolded after the finish? It's all very weel doing it blind, but I'd like to know where all the fast boats went, then maybe we could work out why. Screen shots every 12 hours perhaps?
I'm doing screenshots every 24 and compositing them. It's going to look super cool!
From this thread it would appear that a bunch of you are "in"... is this list complete?

I suspect that after forgetting about this race for almost a week that I may be a little way adrift......

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Baia de l'Oiseau to Carnarvon

How ever shall I return to report with clarity to my Great Sultan – asked Sinbad. It needs be told this island and all its fables shall be expunged from the annals of every thousand and one night. The wind howls – and sun be none (it’s Winter, Sin’bro, ed.) – and all days from the west, but let’s launch anyway and see if we can work our SOL Balloon north as the days pass aiming for Asthralaya, where The Mahabharata tells the ancients once tested mighty weapons, about a quarter and a million qasbah away (2500nm, ed.), perhaps one month.
