	Hi RC, Calendar is looking very good. I just checked the start time for the Kapiti-Chetwodes race. As it stands the race will start 8 am Saturday morning NZ time. Most kiwis will be sailing on Saturday's. Could we move the start time too the 2nd October 0600 please. This will mean a 7pm start Saturday for us Kiwi's. By then most will be home, exhausted and drunk from our day's sailing Cheers NZL_undercover

	Tazu - to have a link to the SOL calendar on the homepage is a nice idea. Perhaps lets wait a little while until we are satisfied that the calendar format is working and then we can ask the SOLgods if a link on the homepage is doable. It will be essential to keep the calendar always up to date - nothing is more irritating than visiting a website that claims to have a calendar only to find it is months or sometimes years out of date!! So if there is a dynamic link on the homepage, the target will always have to be the most current! In the meantime, if folks find it hard to get to the Races Forum they can always click on the Homepage Races Tab/race archive and see the races that are already set up

	NZL_undercover - done! See attached! I have also added a bright green (for GO!) border to each cell that contains a start date... that seems to highlight the starts pretty well. What do you all think?? Attachments September_2010.jpg (204.4 KB)

	Nice work on the calendar. Just 2 things on the September calendar. First the week numbers and the dates don't match. Sept 17th is a Friday in week 37 not week 38. Could be a bit confusing. Also delete the attachment for august. Keep up the good work. /Mike

	Hi Mike - thank you for your comments! I have now corrected the week numbers (for September and the other months) but unfortunatley no-one seems to know how to delete attachments... maybe I should just make a new thread called Current Calendar!!

Tall Ships Races 2024 - Mariehamn to Szczecin

Welcome to the third of three virtual Tall Ships Races on the Baltic Sea which are concurrently being organized in-real-life by Sail Training International . This third race is from Mariehamn, Finland to Szczecin, Poland; circa 250nm in Sailonline’s stately fanciful Full Rigger.
NOTE: Starts and Finishes in tall ships racing are always offshore to avoid conflict with shipping and shipping lanes.

Kalamata to Alanya 2024

For the beginning of the ARCH competition's third quarter, we will sail our boat, SOTO 40, from Kalamata, Greece over the Aegean Sea always eastward to the race finish, 520nm away, in Alanya, Turkey.

Kamchatsky to Tromsoe 2024

Just before the light failed entirely in Antarctica, Skip Novak managed to get his Pelagic 77 out of the ice and north up the Pacific to Kamchatsky. The sun is shining (24/7) and not a penguin to be seen, and Skip believes the Norh East Passage is ice-free (sufficiently) to attempt it, so all aboard for a c 4250nm voyage from east to west across the top of Siberia, Russia and Norway to Tromsoe!

Cowes to St Malo TIMED Race 2024

Starting from the Royal Yacht Squadron Line, Cowes, IOW, a magnificent spectacle can be watched from The Parade, Cowes. The Cowes to St Malo Race is part of the RORC Season’s Points Championship, the world’s largest offshore racing series. Dating back to 1906, the Cowes to St Malo Race precedes all of the world’s famous races including the Fastnet Race. This is a TIMEDrace, so you may RE-REGISTER HERE to try again, after finishing a run. You will have 13 days and 11 hours to show your skill and decision making after the race opens.

Southampton to Punta del Este 2024

Sailonline is delighted to offer our sailors a 'reversed' Atlantic ocean race. As the RTW championship Atlantic part takes a detour to the Bahamas, we will offer you a reversed course as we will not do the 'usual' leg this year either. It is the July edition of this year's Ocean Championship. Our boat is the OD_65v3.
