	In the Figaro Transit currently running - I noticed my place had dropped overnight quite dramtically (should have set a CC I thought and OK another major blunder in my course setting - so whats new!). Then I realised I was going backwards at a speed of about .5 knots in exactly the opp direction to the one I had set. How do I know I didn't set an incorrect course - well its still showing in my course to steer box! So is this a bug in the system - how is it possible that I am moving in the other direction to the one indicated? Best wishes Robert

	Hi Incognito Thanks for getting back - if you track back 46.2 nm's on my current track you will see a weird kink in my course tracker (you do need to zoom in)- this was for a period of I recon three to four hours taking me almost straight head to wind. No instruction was issued for this indeed quite the oposite. Best wishes Robert

	i have seen instances of multiple DC's set to fire at the some time that cause TWA=0 responses... I can replicate (on occasion and always while racing in a top20) interactively, "They won't play if they can't win" - Walt Disney

	In some polars you can go reverse if using a twa almost equal to zero, this is because of the spline interpolation.

Kapiti Chetwodes Race 2024

For only the second time in SOL history, we have the pleasure of inviting you to the Kapiti Chetwodes Race, held in the Cook Strait region. Organised IRL by the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club from Wellington in New Zealand. The approximately 160nm long route, full of turning points, will take us from the bay at RPNYC around the islands of Somes, Kapiti and Chetwodes and back to the finish line at RPNYC. We have only a 26 ft Albin 79 yacht at our disposal. All this means that we will have a lot of fun, so fair winds!

Two Oceans Doublecross TIMED Race 2024

Our November Timed race takes us to Cape Town near where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. Our ride is a beautiful ketch, the Archer 78. Starting at Cape Town, we’ll round Robben Island, then head south to round Cape Point, up around Seal Island before heading north to round Dassen Island before returning to Cape Town. This is a TIMED race, so you may RE-REGISTER HERE to try again, after finishing a run. You will have 13 days and 11 hours to test your skill and decision making after the race opens.
