OK so it's a timed race and you can choose the optimum time to start the race? Is there a deadline for when you MUST start? I assume the start is registered as when the boat begins to move, not when you first go to the race? Also, how many times can I do this race? Is it once only or unlimited times?

You can try unlimited times, but you must finish with your current boat before you register the next one. Link for new registrations is http://www.sailonline.org/races/149/register/ .

I am actually not sure when we will close registration for Ornö runt, it will probably be around the start Stockholm inport race.

I assume that the timing starts from when a boats moves off the start line, not from when a boat is first registered? My boat has been sat on the line for some time, waiting for the optimum time to start!

Also, if I finish the race once and then race again and achieve a slower time, will the first (fastest) time count in the rankings?

Hello!

My boat has stopped... I finished the race, and when I sailed through the finish line without sticking to it, I realized I missed the first mark. I tried to make another lap, and now I am frozen. What can I do??

I have stopped also. Not happy.
Can I go for redress.
I was on for a reasonable time. 5.6 nm to go all reaching and downhill.

Not happy.

Hi.

If you missed the fist mark you cannot finish the race. You will have to go back and round it I am afraid..

This month finds us in Sweden with lots of islands and narrow passages when we sail our Seacart 30 trimaran over the 86nm from Lidingö outside Stockholm to the beautiful coastal village of Öregrund. The Vineyard Race 2025


For the first time since first hosting a virtual Vineyard in cooperation with Long Island's Stamford Yacht Club back in 2010, due to an operational calendaring error, Sailonline has missed the start of the real life race, the USA’s Labor Day weekend this year unusually falling across the turn of August. Silly SOL! So, a week late please join us anyway for a virtual rerun of Stamford’s iconic annual overnighter from their club line out the sound to Buzzard's Bay Light near Martha's Vineyard Island and back again, leaving Block Island to starboard. This year, Sailonline is making its magic MC 38 available to competitors, a race boat with a quirky polar that will require you to stay wide awake as you speed around the c 250 nm course, in rockstar style!
