	Hi All. My brother, Henry Snoek, passed away on Friday morning 7 June. Sailed under the boat name Henrys. He struggled with PKD and spent the last 5 years on Dialysis. Towards the end he had to withdraw from SOL as he had to deal with his physical challenges as the PKD got worse. His last win was the Cape2Rio 2021. Picture attached of Henry with his prizes. Henry was brought to SOL through my introduction and spent many an enjoyable hour during his retirement on this platform. Attachments Henry.jpg (53.4 KB)

	George..... I have seen this post only now and I apologise for such delay. I well remember Henry and I well remember that he had always my full respect for his consistent performance in SOL waters. Very sorry for the news ......for SOL it is another important loss ..... Condolencies to your and his families. Piero

Halifax to Hooper Bay 2024

And now it’s Autumn in the Arctic, the sun is permanently below the horizon, but during the day, from c 0900 to c 1700 local time, there is some twilight – nautical twilight, not to be confused with civil twilight which is brighter. Having receded all summer, ice is starting to return to the numerous straits and bays of Canada’s North West Passage. High time then to set off on our last leg of the High Latitudes Series from Halifax in Nova Scotia to Alaska’s Hooper Bay. It’s 3850nm and we need to hurry, so we’ll take the Pelagic 77!
