I guess I missed the time window for the tag. Still, let it be on record that I am racing SOTP :-)

Everything gets done by not doing anything!
I will be sailing SOTP too here, as I use to do in all races, started to use routing program in SWR but get bored of it quickly, we will sail with this race spirit from start to finish, is gonna be interesting and funny
And I also want to say a big THANKS to our beloved SOL comunity, for bringing us this amazing race, to be almost a year sailing around the world is gonna be demanding and super funny, when we finish, we will miss it for a long time
SOTP forever!
It is with regret that I must ask you to delete Bimmer_SOTP from the SOTP list:-(
I thought it would be much more relaxed to sail SOTP, but my nerves and stomach can't handle it.
I simply can't SOL without my router.....
Sorry!
I declare I will sail SOTP/NOA (No Outside Assistance).

Good wind navigation to all.
I will be sailing SOTP and solo with no outside assistance!
Little late on the start, but for the record I undertake to sail SOTP for this race and I declare this just as I slip the mooring lines.

A little late now, but I am sailing SOPT from the start, and will continue to do so.

Great race this one

SOTP... What are you allowed to use? I've been using just the weather as supplied by SOL since the start (a day and a half late starting as I didn't know about the event until after it started!), no outside information at all. However, even using the supplied gribs seems to me to be more info than the real GGR boats are getting.

Seems to me that to be more accurately replicating the real event you should only be using gribs with current conditions, not something with 7 days predictions? What do others think?

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
