Board » Technical Discussion » NMEA server data TCP/IP?

Hi Kroppyer,

I´m trying to populate a database (MSSQL) with NMEA sentence.
Usually I´m using a ComCap Data Capture Utility designed to capture data received on PC RS232 serial communications ports or using network TCP/IP and UDP streams. (http://www.magsys.co.uk/comcap/)

I´m needing a remote IP Adress/Host and IP Port to get the NMEA sentences. Is it possible to have it from the DC_checker Server or Branaid Server?
Thanks in advance.

Hi 47box.
I think this is already the case of both servers.
For DC Checker The IP adress is usually
192.168.1.10
Port 5010 (which port you can edit).
Idem for Brainaid's toolbox NMEA server.

Il you are interested I have developped a PHP script which scan NMEA and AIS sentences from the Brainaid's servers and push them in a file (json data format).

Hi jf44,

Thank you for your reply.
I got the sentences from ComCap using the IP adress you post and is usually working fine now.
Due my fault (in ComCap settings) I was not recieving the sentences.
If possible to you send me your PHP program I will be apreciate. The MSSQL database has a entrie for json data file. Even ComCap will work just for 60min and desconect (as free software) to test it.

my email is : mariorbr@hotmail.com

If you host your PHP program let me know and I will go and download it.

Thank you.
