Hi, I'm back again, or trying to be.
Just tried starting a race but clicking on the big blue button I get a white screen and on the Classic link I get a blue screen but nothing loads and no error messages.
I have IE11, version 11.0.9600.18204 and have Flash version 20.0.0.306 and have tried everything in the "What to do if Sailonline is Unavailable?
I'm at work so can't really go to IT to fix the issue - any suggestions on how I can make it work?
Cheers
Spindrift.
Spindrift, Your IT guys may have slipped in a firewall on you. Or if it is a company computer, may have blocked flash in IE. See if you can download the Chrome browser, they use their own version of flash.
Thanks Cap'n.
I can get on via my own laptop back at camp, that uses the same network. I just learned about ActiveX filtering, yes its disabled on work computers. Just have to come up with a work related reason for me to have ActiveX now.
I don't know about Oz nor your workplace rules, but if you can carry your laptop to work, maybe you can get a cell phone hot-spot. Just a couple of weeks ago I brought a T-mobile 4G cell modem/router that gives me 2.5 to 4 Mbps speeds for US$30. That's for 3 GB data for 30 days (whichever comes first). It's a pay as you go deal...I only buy a data pass when I need one. No every month charge. If you get a cell signal at work and can have your own laptop, that might work.
Also if you have an Android phone, you can use Zappe's client to check and adjust your course.
