Series Leaderboard

The SSANZ Safety at Sea Two-Handed Triple Series is one of Sailonline’s first multi-event buddy-up with the brilliant SSANZ organisation and, over the years, has become a classic in our racing calendar. For a second year, Sailonline was also associated with the Young 88 Association, whose members race in this series, thereby bringing a superb extra realism as we can directly compare our virtual Young 88 performances with the real fleet. Thank you to SSANZ for their continuing support and also to the Y88 racers for giving us a run for our money!

Although we couldn’t bring any of the real fleet on-screen, the race tracker provided us with a window into how the real fleet was racing throughout the series and, when there was a spare moment, it was possible to be impressed with just how comparable were the tracks of the real and virtual fleets.

This was the first year of racing the series without reportage from NZL_Yachtyakka, who sadly died from cancer earlier in the year. His memory will live on, both in Practice Racing where the mooring of his yacht Beep Beep is now a firm port-of-call, but also every time we pass by Onetangi Bay – it shall now be the law that we raise glasses and toast his memory! RIP dear Yakka.

And now to the success of our podium. The three almost-sprintlike races in the series saw very tough competition from the outset. The three podiums of the SSANZ Baltic 50, SSANZ NZ Rigging 60 and SSANZ Evolution Sails 100 revealed just how tough it was, so CONGRATULATIONS you Series Podium takers! Your victory was hard won and very well deserved.

Welcome to the fourth leg of our MIG series. This time we're racing the Sooty Shearwater on their migration from the breeding grounds in South America to the northern Atlantic. This is also part of our Ocean Championship, and as such the third race of OCQ3 2026. This race will be sailed in our Gunboat 90. Race #2055

New Ice Age 2026 - Scott Base to Neumayer Station


To complete our DN circumnavigation of Antarctica and our 4-race ice-boat marathon series, we continue clockwise, now departing from Scott Base back to Neumayer Station. It’s about 3500nm back as well, which, as said if there’s wind at all, should, well-wrapped in your DN-cockpits, not take you much more than five days. And remember: charts down here are unreliable – what is land and what is ice?!

Cross the Convergence 2026 - Tenerife to Fernando de Noronha


The sixth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us back up the Atlantic to Tenerife, from whence we will depart on a classic transatlantic passage to Brazil’s Fernando de Noronha. It’s 2150nm as the albatross flies, but you will undoubtedly have to take some and sometimes sudden detours to get your Volvo 70v4 through the doldrums stretching across your path from the Amazon to the Niger.

Palk Bay TIMED Race 2026

This month’s TIMED race takes us to the shallow waters of Palk Bay located between India and Sri Lanka. Sail the impressive MC 38 around a roughly 140 nm course through two narrow channels before returning to the start/finish line in Jaffna.
This is a TIMEDrace so you may RE-REGISTER HEREto try again after finishing a run. You will have two weeks to test your skill and decision making after the race opens.
