Race Leaderboard

This is the third ever running of AGage's Tour Down Under and the first racing Farr 30s - the previous races in 2011 and 2012 were in Mini 6.50s and only the first was at the same time of year - its not fair really to compare winning times, but this was the fastest time in which the course has been completed to date. All race info for this and previous races is stored in the Races Archive - accessible via the Races Link on the Homepage!

Our podium three are to be congratulated on an excellent race - the leaderboard reveals only 7 boats arriving in the first ten minutes, but while just under five minutes separated #1 from #2, only 18 seconds separated #2 from #3, with boats #4, rumskib and #5, rafa (both previous winners here) tying as to seconds - their separation being determined by the server on the basis of milliseconds!!

Some of the fleet took a more cruise-like approach to the race - either by choice or by inadvertently finding charming bbq spots. One day, perhaps, the system will be able to generate a "most land hits" award but for now... we all know who we are!

AGage's family would like to thank all who participated! Aaron would have loved that we are running this course again - he designed it as a tribute to his brother, a keen cyclist, to coincide with the annual cycling Tour Down Under!

ATTENTION Top 10 Finishers!!In addition to the trophies on offer for winning the 2014 Championships this year, there are also awards for the best 10 finishers of each championship race!! Read the Prizes Procedure for all the details and, if you are eligible, please make sure to send the requested information to coord@sailonline.org AND src@sailonline.org.

New Ice Age 2026 - Scott Base to Neumayer Station

To complete our DN circumnavigation of Antarctica and our 4-race ice-boat marathon series, we continue clockwise, now departing from Scott Base back to Neumayer Station. It’s about 3500nm back as well, which, as said if there’s wind at all, should, well-wrapped in your DN-cockpits, not take you much more than five days. And remember: charts down here are unreliable – what is land and what is ice?!

Cross the Convergence 2026 - Tenerife to Fernando de Noronha

The sixth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us back up the Atlantic to Tenerife, from whence we will depart on a classic transatlantic passage to Brazil’s Fernando de Noronha. It’s 2150nm as the albatross flies, but you will undoubtedly have to take some and sometimes sudden detours to get your Volvo 70v4 through the doldrums stretching across your path from the Amazon to the Niger.
