Board » Technical Support » Sailrace Crashing

Hi I hope someone can help me,

Since the start of the Volvo race, sailrace keep on crashing. There is no pattern to it, it will sometimes crash when scrolling around the map, other times the game will just hang when the game is doing nothing. The hang starts with the cursor turning into a cross and all buttons failing to respond, next all the boxes empty and turn white and then the program says that it is not responding and must close. I have had the occasional crash in other races but this is happening all the time.

I have the same problem on two machines (both using Windows XP SP3)I am using Beta 7.
Is this happening other people?

Many thanks

Grumfoss
May the Foss be with you...
Got same problems with XP and Vista64.
I have the same problem. Almost every time I move around the map the program stop responding.
Well its working for me fine until i move map. Im just click to center my boat from toolbar and then zooming in and out. Dont scroll your map on your mouse.
Same Problem since this race. Reinstall the client still the same problem.
Looking forward to the flash client.
Same here, scroll around the map and the software crashes.

Both on XP and Vista, with high spec machines.

The Beagle in Mauritius 2024

And west, forever following the sun, the Beagle went once more to next explore Australia, but since online we already regularly race the length and breadth of that wee dinkum continent’s coasts, we will delay launching our Tall Ship Class B until the Beagle reaches Mauritius, which she did on 29 April 1836. Darwin explored the island and its coral reefs extensively. We’ll better that by sailing some 450nm to Reunion and back, for a better appreciation of this remote archipelago, inhabited mostly by descendants of French and English colonists and Indian convicts and political prisoners.

We have only a 26 ft Albin 79 yacht at our disposal. All this means that we will have a lot of fun, so fair winds!
