Will there ever be a web-based client of Sail Online (that opens in IE)? I can't use the windows-client at work, and now I am probably going straight on land in the two races i attend :-(

Btw. At work I am forced to use the automatic proxy-settings while they change all the time..

At the moment there is a basic web version for the SYC memebers. This mobile client has only basic functionality and no weather predictions. It is ment fo mobile acces but can be used in a normal browser too.

The development of a web client (flash based) is well underway, we re working hard to get all the features you know from the client in there.

We hope to have this up and running as soon as possible.
I am a ex-admin of SOL who joins in from time to time.

Okay, good to know. I think I'll wait paying for the SYC membership until i have at least tried sailing a complete race.

I guess I can allways unhook my laptop from the dock, connect to the internet through my mobile, and then change my course :)

The British Isles Circumnavigation 2026


The British Isles Circumnavigation is here! Inviting skippers to take on an epic 1,720nm clockwise voyage around Britain and Ireland! Starting and finishing in Cowes, the course passes some of the most iconic landmarks in offshore sailing, including Fastnet Rock, Tearaght Lighthouse, Black Rock, St. Kilda and Muckle Flugga before the long run home.
