AG: You are correct. I hadn't used wind direction charts for very much so had not ever tried for a detailed knowledge of the notation used. A "north wind" with an arrow pointing "south" seemed contra-indicated--but however----
But this makes the standard wind arrow even more usable in SOL. I am not trying to be contentious about this matter---I will live with whatever is decided---I just don't see the point in "re-inventing the wheel". If everybody else in the world is happy with the standard model, why should we decide that we must do it a different way?
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.

I'd like to chime in in favor of the recent changes to the interface. However, having a color blind son in the house I'm well aware that the improved presentation may be difficult to interpret for some of us.

Still, I really do like the colored wind arrows and the magnified font type for BS and VMG with the predictor line. Now, if only the little wind triangle weren't so little.

Are you referring to the arrow heads, when you say 'wind triangles' ??

Welcome to the fourth of our nine races across the length and breadth of the Magical Mediterranean Sea, and the second that is not in partnership with a real-life event, this time for good reason, which we won’t get into here. From Tobruk to Iskenderun it’s 670nm in length, with the added complication that the island of Cyprus will be in your way.
