I just noticed after registering for the St Malo timed race, when it 1st loaded it showed me under a French Flag, then when i sorted by country it changed to Swedish. Then i ordered by name again and it changed again to a flag i was not familiar with. otrdering by rank then changed the flag to Finnish.
Every time I re-order the boat list my flag changes.... ??

Hi,

Yes, when a boat is newly registered it takes a while for the country to reach the server "cache", so this floats around until the boat information is refreshed in the client. Could be fixed by handling this case int he client, you wanna have a go? :)

well I have no idea of server code obviously, but all I could possibly think to do is not display a flag in client until next meta update... haven't really paid much attention to how often they are though, only boat and fleet data... seeems an odd issue that they would change around, or that re-ordering boat list would trigger it...

Time again to continue our exploration of Africa by Sea, which now takes us around the tip of the continent at Cape Agulhas and up the coast of South Africa to Mozambique’s marvellous Maputo, where we should find good anchorage in the bend of the Rio Espirito Santo (Umbuluzi) once we’ve cleared the 60m high Maputo - Katembe suspension bridge. Isle of Wight RTI Sprint 2025
