In the past few races weather updates have become mostly unpredictable and erratic.
This is getting us to the only result that, to be competitive in one race, 24h attention is required and sleepless nights are a must.

If for long races, as the Figaro, this is not a fundamental issue, for short races is really a problem and removes a big deal of fairness from the game.

I know people at SOL are working on this issue but I would ask for a temporary solution (or a break?) which can make the game enjoyable to those who can check it for a limited time during the day.

We have the new weather update system ready and in test. During testing we found another problem, which affects the timing of the updates, so we know that simply replacing the weather update system will not fix things for good.

We are working on the new problem with high pressure now.

Marstrand to Cowes 2025


We invite you to another race, which will kick off the third quarter of our ARCH series. We'll set off from Marstrand, Sweden, which, along with Skagen, Denmark, marks the line commonly recognised as the border separating the Baltic Sea from the North Sea. The 650nm route will take our Ripitide 50 across the North Sea and the English Channel to Cowes, England. Watch out for the fast ferries crossing the Channel from Calais to Dover 😊.
