Why a SeaCart 30? Apart from the fact that there is a 31ft limit . there has never been a multihull entered in the race.
Please choose another boat...

Yes, Bearski is right. The boat SOL chooses is not the best election. By the way, who -apart of a crazy guy- will sail a 30' multihull in such a hard race like the Sydney - Hobart? Don't you ever heard about the rough conditions in the Torres Strait?
I believe SOL must try to keep the things as real as it gets.

My humble suggestion is a monohull between 45 and 60 foot. I'm sure you have some boats of such type in your virtual fleet.
But if is too late to make a change, let's sail in the Seacart! Will be a hell of a race, anyway.

If you can change the boat, you have a couple of logical choises. The volvo 70 has done the race, as does the 40.7. Or try the new 90 footer. Any of those would be my choise. Cheers.

Sure I can change boat type but now when we have a race comittee I am a bit careful... Why dont you turn to them :-)

Thank you for changing the boat for the race to the 40.7.
It is much appreciated keeping the game in the same spirit of the race.
I now only hope that I have good satellite connection for the duration of the race, so I can hopefully put in a decent result for a change... The joy of living and working on yachts!

Regata dell’Accademia Navale 2026

Welcome to Sailonline’s partnership with the City of Livorno (Leghorn say the English) in cooperation with the local yacht clubs and the Italian Navy, offering all the online opportunity to race the famous Regata dell’Accademia Navale - 630nm in length. Starting and finishing in Livorno, this year the race takes you the length and breadth of the Tyrrhenian Sea via little Mortorio (Mortoriotto) off Sardinia to Capri and home again to Livorno. This race also counts towards Sailonline’s Magical Mediterranean Series and the SuperBuddy title. Online, you will be sailing a Mini 6.50, to give you a match against several of the real-life entrants, which you will be able to track on-screen!

Rommel by Balloon 2026 - Through the Sahara


Generalfeldmarschall Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel may have been that chivalrous, gallant tank commander of legend, led astray by the Prussian military traditions of loyalty and chain of command, but one thing he wasn’t, was mad. So, let’s do it anyway – not stick to the coast and the battle for logistical superiority – but depart the oases of Siwa south west into the desert for Agadez and its uranium. And let’s go by balloon, it’s only 2500km (1250nm)!

Falklands to Tasmania 2026
